This listing is for the 1968 F-100 pictured above. Its an original 360, 4SPD (1st gear granny), 2WD, 8 foot bed. The transmission and rear drivetrain are original. It has a '73 Ford re-manufactured 360 FE block that was swapped in 1998. The original 360 died (catastrophically lol) after 203,000 miles. 33k miles on the new motor. The truck underwent a Father-Son restoration about 4 years ago (summer of 2010). The baby blue and white photo is how it started and the flat black with the tonneau cover is how it looks now. We put over $7,000 in parts, paint, etc. into it and at least 1200 hours. I will admit, much of that time was spent drinking beer, staring at it and wondering what to do next hehe. The new parts include (but not limited to):NEW- front and rear bumber- carb (needs tuned)- instrument panel bezel- dashboard cover- arm rests - headliner w/ 4 speakers (sounds good too)- carpeting- Black Dragon Rat Rod paint- brake drums- replaced various brake lines- driver rear quarter was cut out and replaced- front and side emblems- battery box- replaced points with a Summit Racing/Mallory electronic ignition- valve covers (driver gasket needs replaced, its currently leaking a little oil)- stone deflector behind front bumper- American Racing rims- Magna-Flow mufflers, pipes and chrome exhaust tips- various wiring, lights ... etc.- shorty side mirrors (drive side mirror cracked but useable) used on Galaxy's- fuel pump- front shocks- Front and rear springs have less than 15k miles on them- drive and passenger aluminum sill plates- radiator and steering box have less than 20k miles on them- american racing rims- etc. etc. USED- tailgate is from a '71 or '72 Ford- the doors were shipped from California from a donor cab because mine were roached- the seat is from a '95 F250 Lariat (FYI for anyone restoring an old Ford truck: Any seat out of a Ford from 1961 to 1996 will fit your truck, just use your original mounting bracket/base and bolt it to the new seat :)This truck runs strong, sounds great, and has a lot of character. It runs, drives, shifts and stops. It is far from perfect but it still gets tons of compliments along the way. It is just my version of a Rat Rod and nothing more, nothing less. It does have some bondo and fiberglass but as little as possible was used. I left some of the little dents and imperfections in it just to give it that work truck feel instead of putting more bondo in it! The bed was left as is so it could still be used for work but it is solid. Roll on bed liner kit and undercoating goes with the truck, plus a box of extra parts, including the original gun rack. Mostly garage kept since the restoration and less than 5k miles have been put on it since completed. I am the 3rd owner and have had it since 1996 (8 years of which it was stored in a barn). Transferable antique plates if purchased by a PA resident, no inspection needed. Title in hand. Reserve is set for $5,000.00, (will consider selling it for under that if it ends up close) I love my ole' girl but I'm buying a new house and need all I can get for a down payment, so please be generous with your bids haha. She's a good truck and deserves another good home.
