Vehicle Detail
OK, people, this is it. No reserve auction; tell your friends. Before we continue, I have three things to remind everyone of. YOU must either pick up the car or arrange, and pay for, the shipping. If you win the auction, you bought the car. If you flake out, you will be reported and the second-highest bidder will win. Follow the terms. $900 deposit on Paypal within 24 hours, followed by a cashier's check or money order and the removal of the car within 7 days from the end of the auction. Original owner, no accidents, no major issues, Clean NY Title, Cold Weather Package, Panoramic Sunroof, all tools and paperwork, most service records. 106,250 miles. Here are the problems: Crack in the exhaust after the header, before the mufflers. Doesn't affect anything performance wise, but it is a lot louder than it was. Passed NY Inspection in August, before the crack. Don't know if it would now. Would advise getting new exhaust. Lots of great options from $600 to $1200. JCW, Miltek, Borla, Megan, Invidia. Was considering putting Megan on, but figured to let the new owner decide. The header was replaced last year with OEM. Rear windshield washer non-functioning. Wiper itself is fine. Dent in the hood from where a jerk in a much larger vehicle couldn't parallel park. Just cosmetic. Paint didn't crack. Left rear tail-light cover is cracked. Again, idiots parking. Again, just cosmetic, all lights are entirely functional. A couple of small scratches on both doors; one over the driver's handle is through the paint and noticeable. Usual scratches and nicks on the bumpers. That is the extent of the negative, now for the positive. I am the original owner, ordered from Westchester MINI in the spring of '03, delivered in June. Still have the window sticker and receipts. Mostly garaged, meticulously maintained. Aside from what's mentioned above, it's in great shape. Everything is working beautifully, mechanically, electronically, the whole thing. The clutch is great, engine's very responsive, steering's very communicative, and the suspension is serious. Original 16" Alloys, "BBS Style." Blizzaks with good tread on right now. I am not a dealer, just an eBayer. Bought and sold a lot of stuff on the ebay since '07. Mainly toys, guitars, and amps. I've sold one other car on here and it was a very good experience for me and for the buyer. I'd love to replicate that. It's been a long three weeks here dealing with low-ball offers, people whose offers I accept, but who then can't abide by the terms, and then the people who merely disappear into the night. A preemptive answer to a question I was asked, no, no one has come to see it, then ran screaming. No one has actually come to see the silly car. I would love it if people who told they were coming actually came. Anywho. . . As far as worries or concerns, I have 100% feedback, the AutoCheck score is ridiculously above average, you've got the AutoCheck buyback thing, plus eBay's buyer protections. I will accept a winning bid from someone in the lower 48 who has at least 10 feedback, with at least 90%. Please, people, do not waste my time or yours if you're not serious. Thank you and have a good one.
