I am listing this car for a friend. His description is as follows: WHEN I PURCHASED this classic phaeton project out of North Riverside, Illinois on Thanksgiving Day, 1991, it was with the intention to finish and take her up the Al-Can. As the photos show, this hasn’t happened yet… The original frame was in poor condition, so about 1994 I purchased an excellent frame from Jim Dinehart in Elkhart, IN. After sandblasting, the frame was refinished with POR-15. In February 1994, Ted Borowski Race Enterprises in Rockdale IL did complete machine work on the flathead four block; it was assembled then by pro-builder Scott Brazzale. Although it has not been started, I did pour oil into the cylinders before storage. As the original tub was rough, I picked up a 1950 tub from Ron Funk in Paradise PA. This had been in a hit; had some rust in the floor but was worth the trip. The 1950 tub has had no work and does need restoration. When I disassembled the original project, I wrote detailed reassembly directions. At the time the frame was reassembled, it was with blasted and painted leaf springs, all new bushings and suspension parts, and when the motor went back into the frame, it was in front of a new clutch. The car is about 98% complete, including top bows and seat cushions. We have a clean Illinois title. The Jeepster is offered without reserve and may be inspected in DeKalb IL.
