Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on a complete rotisserie restored 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback - Shelby GT350 Tribute car. The car has only 607 miles since completion. The underside and engine compartment were rhino lined / the engine compartment was color matched to the car. The paint on this car is amazing (many coats of primer and clearcoat / blocked / etc.) - pepper grey and the stripes are buried in the clear with smooth finish (cant feel the racing stripes and stripes will not peel). This is the color of Eleanor from Gone in 60 Seconds...the car gets unreal attention everywhere it goes regardless. Powered by a 351 Windsor with a Hurst 4 speed shifter (manual trans, manual steering, non-hydraulic clutch). Aluminum intake / converted from 2- to 4-barrel carb - Edelbrock carburetor 750. MSD ignition with over-rev prevention. New cam, lift, polish, etc. Exhaust manifold was from a Boss 302. The car does not have aftermarket headers, but does have big port Boss exhaust intake manifold with 3 inch Magnaflow exhaust. Break-in Royal Purple used and Royal Purple fluids currently used. No fluid leaks. Features a completely new interior including rally racing seats with 5 point racing harnesses and regular seat belts with Shelby naming, headliner, custom gauges, dash, carpet, sound proofing throughout, custom door panels, stainless pedals, fire extinguisher, and roll bar. Trunk is sound proofed, floor mats include layer of sound proofing. Suspension: 5 link with coilover (adjustable) 9 inch rear end / suspension torque bars. Front Willow disk brakes with 4 piston calipers. 4.11 rear end. Tires and Wheels: Front, 225/45RZ17. Back, 275/40ZR17 with Shelby color matched wheels with Shelby Cobra center caps. Wheels, tires, rotors are new (607 miles). Air scoops for rear brakes are functional for drums. Stereo is retro look but has iPod / auxiliary hookup. Water temp and oil pressure are not hooked up in main dash as they are used in separate cluster pictured - if you prefer, you can remove the second gauge cluster and hook the main back up. New front glass / rear glass is original. All weatherstripping is new. Always stored indoors in heated garage/heated floors. All work done by experienced car guy with 15 years of experience with body work, mechanical, muscle car builds. Started with a great body with no structural damage (no accidents). Tons of progress pictures and all documentation of the build will come with the car (part manuals, receipts, pictures, etc.). Extra DuPont paint to come with the car for touchups or whatever else you may want to use it for. To those who know classics, you know what you are getting...this is an amazing car. Why put money into the stock market when you can put it into an asset you can enjoy? Too much to list, tons of money invested. I have many more details / pictures / and video - just let me know what you would like to see. Please contact me with any questions you may have before bidding. Thanks for looking. The car is almost 50yrs old and although restored, is not a brand new car. No warranty. All sales are final. I will assist with shipping within the U.S. - not sure how to do an international sale, so I am not interested in pursuing that at this stage. Known issues - see pictures pointing to these two issues - small scratch where hood pin attaches from when hood pin was removed (has been touched up) / 1in scratch in body within one of the ridges in side vent. Additionally, the speakers are not high end, but I never listen to the radio because the engine is better to listen to - I did intend to upgrade, but due to my situation I need to sell the car and will not be replacing. Note that the driver's side speaker is not working - I took it out to see size and brand so I could replace, but when I put it back in it did not come on. I am not an expert, but it is very possible it still works but I did something wrong when putting back in. Place your bid accordingly. There is no rear seat. Similar to the gt350 option, the rear seat has been deleted. I suspect that a rear seat could be added, but it probably would not be worth the time/hassle/cost of removing the roll bar and adding. Also - just a heads up - if you are taller than 6'1" please consider that it will likely be a tighter fit in the car (not saying you wont fit if you are 6'2" I just cant confirm). I am 6'1" and the fit is perfect/comfortable for me, but I sit with the seat all the way back. I am sure there would be a way to accommodate a taller individual, but it may require some modification in terms of moving the roll bar.
