Vehicle Detail

1936 Chevy Rat Rod Pickup Hot Rod Street Rod Rat Rod This truck is a great driver and was built the right way. This is not your average thrown together rat rod. The truck has a clear title and is titled as the original 1936 Chevy truck. The truck also looks awesome parked.. Weighs 2640 Lbs. Body: Original 1936 chevy pick up cab (low cab model). Cab is very solid. The finish is green tinted lacquer primer over the original patina/rust. The cab has dings and small dents mostly in the rear of the cab. The cab was channeled and tunneled. The cab, engine and transmission were set further back on the frame for better weight distribution. The bed is custom made from a 1954 Chevy pickup. The bed was shortened and narrowed. The original top rails and stake pockets were used from the 1954 bed, the rest of the bed was custom made including a lockable tonneau cover with hydraulic supports. The tailgate is custom made and welded solid with the bed. There is a useful trunk/storage area behind the rear suspension. The bed easily unbolts from the top side and can be lifted off the rear of the truck. Custom pin striped with emerald green and black striping. Engine: 5.0L 305 cubic Inch V8 . The only engine modifications are an Edelbrock Performer 600 CFM carb, Accel HEI coil and headers. The engine runs strong. I am attaching a video below of the truck running through the gears. The radiator is a new 65 mustang aluminum V8 radiator. This truck runs cool at 160 F even when it is 90-100 F degrees outside. Transmission: NV3500 5 speed manual OD transmission with hydraulic clutch (trans is from a 2003 Chevy Silverado). The clutch has about 3000 miles on it. Frame: Custom boxed frame which incorporates the original front frame rails to maintain the vintage look Front axle/suspension: Speedway 6" drop axle with GM manual disc brakes. The truck stops straight and well. Upgraded front king pins to the deluxe needle bearing king pins from Speedway. Steering: Manual Vega Cross Steering. New steering box from Speedway in June 2012. Rear suspension: Fully adjustable QA1 coil over suspension with panhard bar. Completely adjustable rear upper and lower control arms (Heim rods from Speedway). Rear Axle: GM 10 bolt posi-traction from a 1972 Chevelle. 4:11-1 axle ratio. All new bearings and seals. Professional made high speed balanced driveshaft. Fuel Tank: 10 gallon aluminum fuel tank from Speedway with fuel level sender. Tires: New wheels and tires purchased from Summit Racing last year (approx 3000 miles on them). Hoosier pro street radials on the rear (31-12.50R15LT). Interior: The seat is a leather third row seat from Yukon Denali with integrated shoulder seat belts (center belt is lap only). The seat brackets are bolted to the frame with 1/4 inch steel brackets. Seat comes out quickly using the factory seat release lever. Battery is mounted under the tonneau cover in the bed. The Stereo is mounted in glove box with 6 inch kenwood speakers in the doors. Stereo has aux input and ipod interface. Three position toggle switch in dash is used for the turn signals. There are Oil pressure, Water temp, Tachometer and Fuel Level gages. There are turn signal indicators and high beam headlight indictors in dash. The original low/high beam switch on the floor is functional. Wildwood triple master cylinder-double pedal assembly for the brakes and hydraulic clutch. There is no speedometer, I use a speedometer app for my phone when I drive it. The mileage on the original truck body is unknown. The truck has had approximately 3000 miles put on it since completion. New windows installed with new tracks, new seals, and new glass in both doors. Truck being advertized locally, reserve the right to sell, and end auction early. ...HAPPY BIDDING....Call for any questions 805 528-2443
