SHOW ROOM QUALITY! 1.7L 4 Cylinder, Manual Transmission 1982 VW Rabbit Pickup - CADDY Rust free restoration that began in Georgia that underwent a nuts to bolts, no expense spared, restoration. The body was completely straight. It was stripped, the engine bay was completely smoothed and the arches were widened before painting with a PPG bisect, clear coat inside and out. Every piece of it has been sanded and polished and is highly detailed. The tailgate was replaced with a NOS unit and also features all new and chromed hardware. All of the hardware holding the truck together is new and at least 99% chrome plated. Overall the body is second to none and it shows. The suspension consists of Weitec Coilers in the front with a custom air shock setup in the rear, with a gauge and switch in the dash to for control. The control arms, tie rods and all associated bushings/hardware is new. For wheels it has BBS RS that are polished and re-assembled with all gold hardware and stainless steel tips. They are 7.5" in the front and 8.5" in the rear. The tires are Toyo proxies and are new. The engine is a NEW crate 2.0 ABF European engine running on Jenvey throttle bodies along with a DTA stand alone. All of the engine hardware is new and chrome plated. To help keep things cool, a Setrab Oil Cooler kit has been installed and is again new and chromed. The new transmission was carefully disassembled powder coated and re-assembled with new chrome hardware. All mounts, bushings etc., are new. The steering rack itself is new and chrome plated along with all of the shift linkage. The exhaust consists of a Techtronics race header and stainless exhaust. The interior features a dash carefully wrapped in perforated suede. It has a Digiz Cluster and a custom fitted Porsche wheel. The seats are powered VW based Recaros with all new bolsters and customized trimmed in perforated suede and leather. The doornails and headliner are new also and custom trimmed to match as you can see in the photos. The carpet is a molded high quality kit and fits perfectly. The engine was Dyno tuned by a specialist working with exotic Racing cars and Lambroghinis, who was very familiar with the four Jenvey throttles and DTA system. They were balanced and synchronized. The vehicle is located in California where the finishing work was completed. It is Titled and Registered, in Georgia, and will be sold, with a bill of sale, as is without any expressed or implied warranty.
