I had not intnded to run the car again this fall, but have had several requests to re-list it. As such, one more time with gusto. There is something about a redd911 that seems to attract police, girls and non-paying bidders. The first two are to be expected, the last is very frustrating. It's a great car, so buy it and enjoy it already, sheez!!!!! I get numerous e-mails, "What will you sell it for now????" The car is guards red, with tan interior. The tires are new 195 65 x 15 Continental Pure Contact with less than 500 miles. A four wheel alignment was done at the time of the tire installation. New rear sway bar bushings were installed at this time. The Air Conditioning system has been converted to R-134 and is ice cold. The car has a current Virginia State inspection. All electrical components work as they should. I have just installed a new fuel filter, changed the oil ( Castrol GTX ) and the filter (Mann). The transmission oil has been changed. New Perlon carpet kit installed in trunk. The car runs and accelerates smoothly, and shifts well. The clutch is strong. The engine had a full rebuild approximately 20k miles ago with the requisite chain tension updates. There are no oil leaks and no oil consumption. There is not even a puff at start up. The suspension is very tight and the handling is excellent. The car had been lowered slightly by a previous owner. The car has been restored to original specification ride height. This resulted in a perfect alignment to original specs, and a significant improvement in both ride and handling. The car is an excellent specimen. This is an unmolested classic 911S with manual windows and no leaky sunroof. The air pump has been removed, but conveys if anyone wants to delude themselves into thinking that it is somehow good for the environment. There are numerous articles which demonstrate that there is little difference between emissions with and without the air pump. It conveys, however, if your locality requires it to be in place. The original color of the car Peru Red (042). Approximately three years ago the previous owner had a windows out repaint in Guards Red. The Porsche is an original California car and was in California until early 2014, and is rust free. The engine and transmission are original. The interior is original.
