Vehicle Detail
Nothing hidden. This is going to make someone very happy and you can purchase this for far less than what I have into it. I bought this because it looks great. It starts every time, Drives straight and gets great gas mileage and is a perfect beach cruiser for driving around the surf. The inside needs some updates but you dont drive a Jeep for the comfortable ride. This looks best with the top off...no need to worry about seats getting soaked because they have been replaced with vinyl. I have almost $5000 invested but I found a newer 2006 that I could afford so I purchased it and now I don't need two Jeeps. I was just getting started with some of the upgrades and now I hope someone else will pick this up and turn this back into a new truck. The good - its cheap and its a lot of fun. No frills. Great on gas. Starts every time and since it is a jeep, you can just about fix anything on it with a screwdriver, roll of duct tape and a coat hanger. Awesome custom flame paint job and paint is in fantastic condition. The bad - its 25 years old but very low mileage for a truck this age. ODO works fine and shows 110,000 miles. I do not know why the AutoCheck says something different, I believe this to be true and original miles. There is some rust that will eventually need to be attended to but it doesn't stop the fun or take away from the looks you get with the top down. It doesn't appear to be on the frame. The stereo probably would be better if replaced but you get the new one I purchased right after I bought the Jeep. Here is a list of what will need to be done at some point in the future and the estimated costs to complete a restoration:Left/Right Floor pan inserts - $70 set @ Quadratec and a welder would charge about $125.for the hour it would take to completeLine-X the inside floor after new pans are installed - Quote for local Line-X and RhinoGard dealer was $200.00 for the entire inside floorAir Horn - $25 at WalmartRadio - I have one in a box...never got around to installing it. Comes with the vehicle...still in unopened boxNew Top - All Jeeps eventually need this. This is ready for a new one soon - $300 at Bestop. The JEEP drives and runs fine now and for a very small amount of money at your local Jeep shop, you wouldnt need to do much more after these were done. This Jeep is worth between $4000-$5000 but I am going to start low with NO RESERVE.. The is NOT a "4" rated Jeep as AutoCheck says. I would put it in the 12-15 rating. There is NO title problem. There is no ODO problem. All lights, brakes and gauges work fine. It just needs a little interior work but it is still a great buy for fun transportation and a great Jeep find. If you are looking to spend less than $5k and want a great beach ride and a fun car for the Florida sun to enjoy the beautiful fall weather, it is worth bidding on. If you have any question, feel free to ask. Car is being sold as is. You are welcome to view the car anytime and I suggest you inspect the car before bidding or email me and I will try to answer your questions to the best of my knowledge. Deposit is due 2 days following the end of the auction. I will help make arrangements if you want this to be delivered outside of Florida.
