I bought this car used in 2010. It had 57,490 miles on it then. I used it to drive back and fourth to work five days a week. I drive 140 miles round trip. I changed the oil with the indicator light regularly and I have receipts. With approx. 156,000 miles I started hearing a clicking noise when I drove it. Parked it from work one day and the next night , as I went to go to work, it started and shut right off, second attempt to start, just spun engine over rapidly, I knew it had dropped the timing chain. Talked to local shop, was told $1,500.00 to fix. Blue Book showed Vehicle to be worth $3,800.00 , if it was running and in the condition it was in. I owed $4,000.00 on it. I bought another used car and paid the HHR off. It is sitting in my driveway. I had put Twelve spoke "Momos" and new Michelin's on it a little while back ( paid $1,200.00) and kept them regularly rotated ( have receipts) Not sure what to do with it, so I thought I would list it on E-Bay. If you are a mechanic, you could put it back together and drive or sell, if you need it for parts, everything worked perfect before the timing chain let go ! It is sitting in my driveway and battery has since gone dead. It will have to be picked up from my home. Great little car while it lasted, could be yours ! I am auctioning it off on E-Bay at a low starting price, but I will not give it away. I figured $1,500.00 to fix , less the $3,800.00 it should be worth would leave it at about $2,300.00 , but I realize that is in a perfect world.
