Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 1999 Mercedes-Benz CL500. The CL is the top range coupe offered by Mercedes. The CL500 has the reliable 5.0L V8 engine that produces 315hp. The pillerless coupe is a beautiful design that is timeless. It doesn't matter if you're driving a classic 560SEC, one of these or a brand new CL63...these cars demand attention. Mercedes coupes are fairly uncommon to see in the first place...especially the full sized ones as they were among the most exclusive vehicles sold by Mercedes. I would rate the exterior of this CL500 to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking coupe. It is finished in very desirable black over black and shows well. As with any older vehicle, please don't expect a perfect car. You'll see a few marks and blemishes on the bumpers commensurate with age and mileage. Overall, the body is in good condition. Her lines are straight and true. The hood, doors and trunk all open and close properly. The black finish has a mile deep shine and looks as smooth as glass. All of the factory cladding is intact and shows well. The windows all drop and raise properly when you open and close the doors. The trunk lid closes properly with a light touch and vacuum seals as it should. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The original alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in a nice set of rubber with average tread all around. All of the parking sensors are intact and working properly. Please take your time and check out each of the photos to see how clean this CL500 is. I would rate the interior of this CL500 to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you swing open the long door, you are greeted by a graciously appointed interior that has been well cared for. Attention to detail and excess is evident throughout the interior. From the chrome door end caps to the wooden door handles, it's obvious that you're about to drive a very special automobile. The carpets show well throughout the interior. The door panels are clean and tight. Rich leather and wood accents are abundant. The dash and headliner are clean. The leather seats show very well and are extremely comfortable. The original wooden interior pieces show very well and indicate that this CL500 probably spent most of her life in a garage. This is one of the nicest CL interiors I've seen in a while...everything works. All of the illumination works properly, including the lighted rim around the seat controls. The power windows, central locks, power mirrors and sunroof all work properly. Even the rear seat headrests raise and lower properly. Both front seats are power operated and heated. The stereo system is original and works properly. The power antenna raises and lowers properly and there is no "crazy volume knob". (if you've owned more than one of these, you know what I'm talking about) The double gasket windows are crystal clear and have a vacuum between the layers of glass so they will NEVER fog up. Pride in ownership shows throughout this entire automobile. Please be sure to check out each of the photos as they will speak for themselves. The original keyless remote key (still works), a full set of owners manuals and the original $95,000 window sticker are included. Mechanically, this CL500 appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 5.0L V8 engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I did not see any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good. The suspension feels tight, but I do believe rear shocks will be needed soon. They aren't bad enough that I would suggest replacing them immediately...just put it on your list. The brakes and steering feel good. The engine keeps excellent oil pressure and perfect temperature. There have been no idiot lights on. The engine makes good power and feels strong. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly through all five gears. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with no complaints. There is a very slight intermittant vibration in the steering wheel. It isn't bad. If I were writing this description for any other vehicle, I probably wouldn't even mention it. I am very picky with my Merc's. I believe that they are the best automobiles available...period. This is the end of when a Mercedes was a Mercedes, built to a standard rather than a price. This was nearly a $100,000 car back in 1999. I shouldn't have to say this, but I will. Although these cars have depreciated significantly, please be aware that you still need to maintain a $100,000 car. If you need to ask yourself whether or not you can do that, chances are you can't and you shouldn't buy a car like this...buy an Accord. These cars are very reliable and well built, but they will require maintainence from time to time in order to keep them in proper condition. When properly cared for, these cars have a service life of 30+ years. Quality is worth caring for properly. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction.
Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 1999 Mercedes-Benz CL500. The CL is the top range coupe offered by Mercedes. The CL500 has the reliable 5.0L V8 engine that produces 315hp. The pillerless coupe is a beautiful design that is timeless. It doesn't matter if you're driving a classic 560SEC, one of these or a brand new CL63...these cars demand attention. Mercedes coupes are fairly uncommon to see in the first place...especially the full sized ones as they were among the most exclusive vehicles sold by Mercedes. I would rate the exterior of this CL500 to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking coupe. It is finished in very desirable black over black and shows well. As with any older vehicle, please don't expect a perfect car. You'll see a few marks and blemishes on the bumpers commensurate with age and mileage. Overall, the body is in good condition. Her lines are straight and true. The hood, doors and trunk all open and close properly. The black finish has a mile deep shine and looks as smooth as glass. All of the factory cladding is intact and shows well. The windows all drop and raise properly when you open and close the doors. The trunk lid closes properly with a light touch and vacuum seals as it should. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The original alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in a nice set of rubber with average tread all around. All of the parking sensors are intact and working properly. Please take your time and check out each of the photos to see how clean this CL500 is.
I would rate the interior of this CL500 to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you swing open the long door, you are greeted by a graciously appointed interior that has been well cared for. Attention to detail and excess is evident throughout the interior. From the chrome door end caps to the wooden door handles, it's obvious that you're about to drive a very special automobile. The carpets show well throughout the interior. The door panels are clean and tight. Rich leather and wood accents are abundant. The dash and headliner are clean. The leather seats show very well and are extremely comfortable. The original wooden interior pieces show very well and indicate that this CL500 probably spent most of her life in a garage. This is one of the nicest CL interiors I've seen in a while...everything works. All of the illumination works properly, including the lighted rim around the seat controls. The power windows, central locks, power mirrors and sunroof all work properly. Even the rear seat headrests raise and lower properly. Both front seats are power operated and heated. The stereo system is original and works properly. The power antenna raises and lowers properly and there is no "crazy volume knob". (if you've owned more than one of these, you know what I'm talking about) The double gasket windows are crystal clear and have a vacuum between the layers of glass so they will NEVER fog up. Pride in ownership shows throughout this entire automobile. Please be sure to check out each of the photos as they will speak for themselves. The original keyless remote key (still works), a full set of owners manuals and the original $95,000 window sticker are included.
Mechanically, this CL500 appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 5.0L V8 engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I did not see any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good. The suspension feels tight, but I do believe rear shocks will be needed soon. They aren't bad enough that I would suggest replacing them immediately...just put it on your list. The brakes and steering feel good. The engine keeps excellent oil pressure and perfect temperature. There have been no idiot lights on. The engine makes good power and feels strong. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly through all five gears. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with no complaints. There is a very slight intermittant vibration in the steering wheel. It isn't bad. If I were writing this description for any other vehicle, I probably wouldn't even mention it. I am very picky with my Merc's. I believe that they are the best automobiles available...period. This is the end of when a Mercedes was a Mercedes, built to a standard rather than a price. This was nearly a $100,000 car back in 1999. I shouldn't have to say this, but I will. Although these cars have depreciated significantly, please be aware that you still need to maintain a $100,000 car. If you need to ask yourself whether or not you can do that, chances are you can't and you shouldn't buy a car like this...buy an Accord. These cars are very reliable and well built, but they will require maintainence from time to time in order to keep them in proper condition. When properly cared for, these cars have a service life of 30+ years. Quality is worth caring for properly. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.

Winning Bidders:

Full payment is due within 7 day of the auction's end. The prefferred method is to bring cash in person to complete the sale. If you are unable to bring cash in person within seven days or will be having the vehicle shipped, we also accept Certified Checks, USPS Postal Money Orders, and wire transfer.
PayPal is not an accepted payment method. This includes Bill Me Later.
We cannot accept credit cards or personal checks.
Vehicles that are not picked up within 14 days of auction's end will be charged a $10/day storage fee, unless other arrangments are made.
Non-paying Bidders:
We take great pride in our work and are very serious about what we do. Likewise, we expect the people who bid on our auctions to be serious about honoring their bid. If you are the successful bidder for any of our auctions and do not pay for your vehicle within the specified time, an Unpiad Item case willbe opend with eBay. This can severely restirct yur ability to purchse from all eBay sellers. You will be charged a $249 re-listing fee. All unpaid fees will be handed over to a collection agency and pursued to the fullest extent of the law.
Fee and Tax Information: The only fee added by the seller is our $149 fee. This is used to isolate our fixed expenses such as eBay fees, transportation, processing, etc., and is not applied to any costs incurred by the purchaser.
The purchaser is responsible for any and all costs associated with transfer of ownership including, but not limited to: registration, sales tax, tags (including temp or in-transit tags), title transfer, inspection, and transportation expenses.
We are able to complete most tag, registration, and title work, as well as collect sales tax, for Pennsylvania residents.
For out-of-state buyer we can issue a 30-day temporary tag (aka In-Transit tag). The cost is $39 and the buyer must show a valid driver's license and current proof of insurance.
