This NICE 1998 Buick LeSabre Custom has been donated to our non-profit organization, and we have not physically driven the vehicle ourselves. This car has been owned by a priest since 2003, and he has kept a log of all that was done to the car since he purchased it. The records and log will go with the car to the new owner. We understand that this Buick runs, drives, and brakes well. The 3.8 liter V6 gets good gas mileage, and the automatic transmission shifts as it should. The car currently has 140,900 miles on it, and some of the more recent improvements done to the car are: * Rebuilt transmission installed at 102,665 miles -- Only 40K miles on the trans! * Used engine with 85K installed at 120,960 miles --Total of only 105K miles on engine! * New Toyo tires installed at 129,920 miles * Front rotors and brake pads installed at 131,009 miles * Front hub assembly and ball joints installed at 137,698 miles This Buick is in good condition in and out (see pics). All of the power options (windows, locks, driver's seat, etc...) work as they should, and the AC blows cold. The red cloth interior looks and shows well. The exterior appears to be in above average condition, showing only minimal rust and wear and tear that one would expect on a mid-western car of this age. The paint on the front bumper is cracked and peeling in some places (again, see pics), but the bumper itself is not cracked. This would be an EASY respray -- it's white!!! We understand that in August of this year, a "squeak" developed in the right front of the car. The mechanic that has worked on the car for a number of years believes that it is a rubber bushing for either the sway bay, or the A frame. This is an easy fix, and does not affect how the car drives. There is also a "squeak" in the rear brakes when they get wet. The brakes don't appear to be the issue, but rather moisture since the sound disappears when all is dry. This does not affect how the car brakes. With very little TLC, this Buick could be beautiful, and with the care that it's had thus far it should be good to go for a LONG time!
