This California car was restored several years ago with a complete repaint, full upholstrey, engine overhaul, replated chrome, electric wipers, and killer stereo. Since then I purchased the car and did the retro conversion to the 1953 style with low wheel well openings. I upgraded the engine with dual carburators, electronic ignition, and a new exhaust system. I also lowered the car two inches front and rear. The George Perry flying lady hood ornament was added and a customized surf board was mounted to the roof rack. The car was then repainted with Acrylic Enamel single stage paint. A grille from a 1955 Nash Rambler emphasizes the look of a smaller 55 Chevy Nomad. This is a specticular car that has won "Best of Show" at a judged show and a special award at an event with over 3000 collector cars.
