RARE! Completely original 1988 Toyota MR2 Supercharged. This first generation (1984-1989) MR2 is extremely rare in this condition. This car runs and drives very well. The engine roars and accelerates like a beast! The interior is flawless! Truly one of a kind. Original impossible to find parts range from the radio, mats, rims, and upholstery. This car has a 4A-GZE engine equipped with a small roots-type supercharger and a Denso intercooler. The compression ratio is a low 8:1 and produces 145 horsepower (108 kW) and 140 pound-feet (190 N·m); it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) in 6.5 to 7.0s. The supercharger is belt-driven but actuated by an electromagnetic clutch for utilization only when needed as a fuel economy measure. This supercharged model has stiffer springs and "tear-drop" aluminum wheels. The engine cover has two raised vents and is labeled "Supercharged" on the rear trunk and body moldings behind both doors.
