Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is a 2004 Ford F350 mason dump. V10 gas engine, 4 wheel drive, automatic. Regular cab, XL trim level, manual windows and door locks. Comes equipped with an 8' 6" fisher minute mount plow. Dump body works as it should. I bought this truck from an associate to haul scrap metal to the junk yard and to plow my driveway. It didn't take me long to realize that this truck is to big for my needs so I decided to sell it and get something smaller. Some new parts that were just installed by the previous owner include a starter, alternator, rear brake pads, drivers side rear rotor and caliper. This truck does need some other parts. I had a friend who is a mechanic look over the truck and he states "truck needs transmission lines, fluid is leaking from the lines where it connects to the trans cooler. Front passenger wheel bearing will need to be replace sometime in the near future, sounds a little noisy. Front brakes could probably use new pads and maybe be rotors depending on finds when brakes are taken apart. The emergency brake release handle is broken. The blower works only on high which is just a simple transistor that needs to be replaced. The radio powers on but the speakers seem to not work. Truck has an exhaust manifold leak." Also the transmission shifter seems to be a little off. You have to sometimes play with it to find the gear. There is a rip in the driver side seat which is typical of these trucks. There is a one section of the frame that has rotted through, I will include pictures below. The rear bumper was just primed and painted. I began to prime the frame underneath the dump body but never finished. Some lettering is still on the doors of the truck, I edited them out of some the pictures with iphoto but the rest of the letter will be removed however you can see the different shades in the paint where the lettering was. The plows hydraulics work as they should however the plow may possibly need a new moldboard. The moldboard is warped on both ends and the trip edge cannot spring back to its normal position. Other problems may exists with the truck, as with any vehicle an inspection is always recommended. I am not a mechanic and I am trying to be 100% up front for any long distance buyers that maybe interested. The truck is operable and drivable. I have been using it since I bought it. The truck seems to start, run, and drive fine. Maybe I m just not use to driving a truck this heavy, I feel the stopping power should be better but even with that said I am still comfortable with driving the truck. Would be a great truck for someone willing to do the work. I just don't see the sense of doing the work when it does not suit my needs. Truck is sold as is, no warranty are implied or expressed. Local deliver maybe be possible depending on distance. A deposit is required at the end of the auction from the successful bidder. On Oct-23-14 at 16:58:00 PDT, seller added the following information: A few more things about the truck that I wanted to add. Inspection is overdue, the computer was throwing codes for the oxygen levels. We cleared the codes and they came back immediately. Both oxygen sensor were replaced and the computer did not throw the codes. The system is not ready to be inspected yet but if the status becomes ready I will try to get the truck inspected. I do not have it registered commercial so they will only need to do an emission inspection and I will get a 2 year sticker. Hopefully I can get it through but no guarantees. The ABS light is on but when I was driving the truck the abs was not activating. My friend said it probably is just a sensor maybe came unplugged or has a bad connection but he would have to look at it to determine it. The A/C does not seem to work.
