1948 CHEVROLET STYLE MASTER COUPE This car was a show car years ago but now is showing it’s age. All steel car with a clean Washington title shown as a 1948 Chevrolet 2dr. The car starts, runs, drives, stops fine. It sounds healthy and is a lot of fun to drive. If you want a cool old car that gets “thumbs up” greetings wherever you go then this is it! Here are the basics; Stock body with rear fenders and lower rockers molded in, scoops in hood, shaved handles, Fulton visor, most stainless removed, grille & bumpers painted body color. Stock frame with Mustang II front suspension and power disc / drum brakes. 17” American Racing Torque Thrust wheels and like new Toyo tires. 327 V-8 that runs great, sounds awesome, and has an aluminum intake, Edelbrock carb, chrome alternator, and some other chrome accents including valve covers and air cleaner. The transmission is a turbo 350 with a mild shift kit and it works fine. 10 bolt rear end from a Camaro. I have no idea of ratio or if it’s a posi-trac. The headlights, turn signals, brake lights, dash lights, etc... all work fine. The Autometer speedometer, fuel gauge, temp gauge, and ammeter work fine. Tachometer is currently not working, sound system is not working, wipers are not installed so I am going to say they are not working. The front windows roll up and down easy. It has power door poppers that work with a single remote or from the inside with small dash mounted switches. All of the glass, windshield, back glass, etc… are good without chips or cracks. The leather interior is out of a Cadillac Seville. The power seats work. The headliner is ok, leather is in good shape without tears, cracks, etc... carpeting is ok, rear interior panels have gaps, door sills should be trimmed out. As stated above the car is showing its age. The old body work is starting to crack in places and the paint has a few areas where it is starting to lift. I have taken several pictures of the chips, cracks, and paint issues. Please take a close look at the pictures so there will be no surprises. Do not assume anything. If you are unsure and a serious qualified bidder, then please feel free to ask and I will help as much as possible. This is not a high dollar show car and it is not perfect. The car can be driven and shown just fine as is or you can have a very solid foundation to build it up again. The car is easily a 5-10 footer and still looks extremely good. The paint is very nice, has a great shine, colors are vivid, and the car has a great stance.
