If you bought a new pickup in 1969, this is pretty much what it would have looked like. ! ! ! The bright paint was surely a popular choice, and this truck nails the vivid ‘60s hue just right. The sheet metal is straight and all original. looks like it was on the factory floor, with those smooth, flat flanks showing undistorted reflections that you’d expect in a vehicle costing thousands more than this one does. Note the correct latches are on the tailgate, the tiny accessory back-up light, The chrome bumpers and grille are surely far nicer than anything in 1969, and the bed is most certainly in excellent condition with its polished wooden planks and shiny stainless rub strips. Inside, the handsome two-tone interior is just the way it would have been when it was new, from wide pleats and contrasting piping to the automatic transmission. The dash and door panels are all original and black in color that actually works rather well with the bright exterior. Also has the original rubber floor mat. The most impressive thing you’ll find is the stock instrument panel with factory gauges and warning lights, original plastic knobs, and since there was no radio when it was new, there is one now. The materials are durable enough for commercial duty, so they still look fantastic following the restoration with virtually zero wear, and everything (such as it is) works like it should. Powerful and original 350 V8 motor Fully rebuilt and detailed like new, it delivers reasonable performance, great torque, and a lot of double-takes when you open the hood at shows.
