Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is our 2008 Toyota Tundra SR5 CrewMax (TRD Model). We bought this new in July of 2008. The miles are almost all highway miles. We would drive the truck primarily on the weekend to visit family up north, or on several trips while towing our ATVs to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, West Virginia, Kentucky and other trips throughout the Midwest. Truck has never been smoked in and always kept in a garage. Adult driven and owned. I owned a 2000 Tundra prior to this one. They run forever, so it is why we bought another! Title in hand. No BS Waiting for a bank to get the title. Funds must be cleared by our bank before truck, title and keys leave our possession.Truck is for sale locally. The BIN price is $22,900. Click Here for Detailed Video. ---> www.youtube.com/watch?v=S_7gOlYn_qE Additional “Add-ons”: 2.5” Front Spacer Leveling Kit “lift” Airbags (Rear) Summer Tires: 285/75/18 Toyo Open Country A/Ts. (35” tire) Tri-Fold Tonneau Cover Trailer Brake NEW BRAKES! Front: New Calipers, Rotors & Pads (Ceramic). Rear: Rotors & Pads (Ceramic). $1k worth Always use Amsoil Signature Series w/Amsoil Filters Always use Royal Purple Fluids (Transmission/Differentials) Weather Guard Floor Mats Snow Tires: Bridgestone Blizzak DM-Z3 265/70/18 The reason we are selling our truck is we simply don’t use it enough to justify holding on to it. We are going to replace it with an older model pickup and then use the remaining money to update our home. It has been a great truck and if I don’t get what I want for it, I will hold on to it. I have watched what the CrewMax Tundras are going for and there is one IDENTICAL on eBay right now from a dealer for $24,900, plus any fees they are going to have. KBB’s Private-Party in Very Good Condition was $24,388. That does not include: Additional Snow Tires, Lift, Airbags, Trailer Brake, Weather Guard Floor Mats. In addition to $1k in new brakes. Ours is $2k less and you're buying from the original owners. Contact ASAP as I generally sell our vehicles prior to the end of the auction. I feel very comfortable saying that there is no reason you can’t get in the truck and drive it anywhere. It is why I am willing for no additional fee to pick you up at the Gerald R. Ford Grand Rapids, MI Airport (GRR). All I need is a ride to my office or home and you’re on your way (once funds have cleared). I prefer payment via Bank Transfer or Cash. Cashier’s Checks will be determined by our bank. If they say they will not clear payment, we will not sign off title (which has no lien), nor will we hand over the keys. Please NO games. Also, if you have less than 3 positives or under a 95% rating, please send me a message with your phone number so I know you’re going to follow through. If you can not get the funds within 3 business days, do not bid. It is that simple. A $1000 payment is due within 24 hours of auction and communication is also required within 24 hours. Full payment is due within 5 days. My contact info is: mjcookjr@gmail.com or you may call me @ (616) 437- 4 3 5 7. I do not have voicemail setup because I have clients who thought they could leave me messages and I would not be able to change their order. You’re welcome to text, but I do not want to text forever. You’re welcome to call/text anytime, but I am generally available 10 AM – Midnight EST. Just call and I’ll go over details of the truck. Truck is for sale locally and also on other websites. Truck price for local sale is the BIN price of $22,900. I am accepting offers. Please do not ask what the reserve is, as it is close to our BIN price. **I generally sell prior to end of auction, so call/text/email and setup purchase ASAP. I will end the auction once funds are received. When I sell vehicles online, I attempt to give grade certain parts 1-10 (10 being Perfect) and then I give my reasoning for the rating I have given. Interior: RATE 8.5. I rate the Interior so high because it is truly in great shape. Everything works and the worst thing about the interior is the Driver’s Seat. The cloth has separated on the seat. It is NOT ripped, nor is the seat breaking down. I will contact an upholsterer to see what can be done. All switches work; Radio; A/C is Cold; Cruise Control; Windows work up/down proper speed; No leaks; Doors shut good; Rear Seats are adjustable (Not just forward/backwards, but you can recline them); Some minor scratches on interior, but nothing major nor nothing that keeps anything from working. It is quiet to run down the road. The tires are not noisy, nor is the engine/exhaust. Interior is free from any unusual smells. It has never been smoked in. The remotes work perfectly. We have the paperwork and the owners manuals. Exterior: Rate 8. I rate the exterior an 8 because I have had the exterior kept up if scratched, or dinged. New Windshield 100 miles ago (with RainX); Bosch wipers; Good straight Metal; Minor chips or minor scratches. It is a 6 year old truck, so please keep that in mind. No rust and the truck has never been in a major accident. Truck’s paint is sparkling and was JUST detailed in and out. The bed of the truck is in great condition. I never carried anything overly heavy . Most the time it was an ATV in the back. I also have a Trifold Tonneau Cover that we bought when the truck was new. It has a small cut in front covered by black tape, and it has NEVER leaked. The rear hinge broke last winter. I have not replaced the top because it keeps the box clean and free of leaves, snow, etc. Truck has been kept in a garage. *BLUE STREAK BLUE IS BEAUTIFUL! My favorite color! Engine: Rate 9.5. I rate the engine so high because I have never had a problem with the engine. I had an air mixture sensor replaced a few months ago, computer last year. The engine has PLENTY of power. You’ll never feel at a loss for power. I generally use 89 Octane Gas. Periodically 93 Octane, generally if towing or if I was on a long trip. It is a Toyota. They run forever. We just traded our 2009 Toyota Venza with 178k miles The only thing we did to it was maintenance and 1 CV Axle shaft. My previous truck was the 2000 Toyota Tundra w/Super Charger. I had 198k Miles on it when I sold it (on eBay). Mechanical: Rate 9. I rate the mechanical a 9 because it is tight and runs/drives perfect. Shocks are good. Steering is tight. I have had both front CV Axle shafts replaced. I had the fluids changed on Diffs, Transfer Case and Transmission at 33k Miles and 70k Miles. The coolant was done at apx 45k miles as was the water pump and serpentine belt. New battery was installed about 18 months ago. I always use Amsoil Signature Series for oil and Royal Purple for Trans/Diffs. Brakes: Rate 10. The reason I rate the brakes a 10 is… I just had the Front Calipers, Rotors & Pads changed AND Rear Rotors & Pads. There are less than 350 miles on the brakes. $1k worth of work done. Tires: Rate 7.5 On the 285/75/18 Toyo Open Country A/T’s. They are great tires. They have probably 30k + miles left on them. The Snow Tires: Bridgestone Blizzak DM-Z3 265/70/18 I’d rate a 6. This will be the last winter I would use them. But Snow Tires make this truck unstoppable in snow. The tire pressure monitoring shows on in truck on dash. *With a full price offer (once it has been paid), I will get these replaced! It has been a great truck for us. I have posted a video and several pictures to assist you in your decision to purchase. To make it easier, I am so confident, I am offering to personally drive it anywhere in the continental United States. *You must cover ALL Expenses and return flight to GRR, plus $250. I will only depart after your funds for the truck have been sent via Bank Transfer (MUST CLEAR PER OUR BANK) and an agreed deposit for expenses must be included. Example: Price of truck plus buyer and I agree it will cost $250 in gas and a flight home is say $500, an additional amount of $750 will have to be included. Buyer would have to agree to pay in cash any additional expenses incurred. ALL EXPENSES FOR DELIVERY OF TRUCK TO BUYER AND RETURN FLIGHT OF SELLER, TO BE PAID BY BUYER. If you’re in Canada, I’ll attempt to work out delivery with you if necessary. I also have a Western Mid-Weight Steel 7.5’ Snowplow. It is NOT a part of the auction. I have used it for 6 winters plowing my driveway (700’), my elderly neighbors and my parents (500’ drive). The plow, UniMount, Electronics, Joystick, etc, are NOT included in the sale, but are available for a price of $2,650 FIRM. 1 Ram was rebuilt 2 years ago and the other 2 Rams were rebuilt last winter. The joy stick was replaced last year for $365. It works fine. It could use a new cutting blade, but it is just my personal driveway, so I would try to get one more year out of it. If you do NOT want the plow, I will take it and have the UniMount frame removed. If you can’t tell, I’m a particular person. I like things to be kept nice, orderly and in good condition. If there was an issue, we had it resolved before it became a bigger problem. I have sold over $100k worth of sales and have had great luck with eBay. If you bid, you agree to purchase truck. You agree to have the Non-Refundable deposit within 24 hours of the end of the auction and full payment within 5 days. All payments are considered at Cash or Bank Transfer. If we have to accept credit card for any reason, the fee will be 3.59% (M/C & Visa) & 5% for AMEX. States and Providences the Tundra has been driven to: Michigan (LP & UP), Indiana (Several Times), Ohio, Illinois, Missouri, Iowa, Wisconsin, West Virginia, Pennsylvania & Kentucky. Ontario. Additional pictures available. I can bring it to mechanic to have it inspected or take pictures/videos if necessary. I want you to feel comfortable with the purchase. There is literally no reason you can't get in the truck and drive it to California today. Video Link again: www.youtube.com/watch?v=S_7gOlYn_qE www.youtube.com/watch?v=S_7gOlYn_qE Gas Mileage: Average: 13-15Highway: 15-17. I never got over 18.5 MPG on the highway. 18.5 was doing 60 mph with 2 quads (1200# of Payload). We didn't generally use the truck like a car. We usually had something like an aluminum snowmobile trailer with 2 quads on it.
