I am selling my beautiful 1980 Toyota 4WD longbed pickup truck. ALL ORIGINAL. Amazing unrestored condition. Original factory paint shines nicely. Paint is 100% as it came from Toyota, there has been no touch-up paint ever applied to this vehicle. 117,000 miles as stated by the original owner and the truck's condition fully supports that claim. Truck was purchased new from Mid Valley Toyota, in Marysville, CA (north of Sacramento) and kept by the original owner through 2012. Second owner purchased the truck from the first owner's widow but only kept it a few months. I am the third owner, purchasing the truck in January 2013. I'm selling this truck only to spend time on my newly acquired 1982 SR5 4WD longbed. Clean title and current registration in my name. Original CA blue/yellow license plates front and rear. Passes California's strict smog test with no problem. Comes with all original owners manuals. The early 1979 and 1980 model 4WD trucks are very difficult to find in this original condition. 2.2 liter 20R engine, 4 speed manual transmission, 2 speed hi/lo transfer case, manual steering, power brakes. Runs excellent. Engine purrs quietly, no smoke, no noises. 4WD works fine. Cruising at highway speed, the truck runs perfectly, even with its original factory Toyota shocks! No modifications ever. Never cut, lifted, or altered. Still runs on the factory wheels. Even the muffler and tail pipe look to be original (some surface rust here to be expected from age). Everything works as it should except for the horn. This is an honest truck. I have 64 detailed pictures and will described it's condition thoroughly. Factory paint is stunning but has light scratches and some "damage" here and there. There are 4 "damaged" areas on the body/paint worth noting: as shown in the pictures below, (a) one 8" dent on the driver's side next to the red marker light at the rear bottom portion of the bed (b) next to the gas filler door (note this truck still has the "Unleaded Fuel Only" decal in place) there is some small amount of rust in the bed seam just starting to show through the exterior (c) the front valance is dented to the right side of the front license plate (d) the paint is thinning on the top of the cab and there are scratches around the rear window from a camper shell that was installed at one time. The only other area where there is some rust is under the battery tray. Besides the 8" long dent described in the bed, the truck is very clean and straight. No other dents or dings except for 2 tiny dings on the top of the driver's side front fender, and 2 tiny dings on the passenger side door that cannot be captured in the pictures. Engine bay is exceptionally clean. No leaks of any kind! The original radiator was just barely starting to leak, so I replaced it with a brass core/aluminum radiator manufactured in Canada - no plastic junk. While doing that, I replaced the water pump with a genuine Toyota water pump and gasket, brand new Toyota hoses & clamps, and completely flushed the cooling system. I also re-painted the radiator shroud and installed new genuine Toyota bolts to secure the shroud, and a new Toyota radiator cap. Engine has fresh tune-up parts installed within the past 2,000 miles. Radiator and water pump have less than 50 miles. As the paint looked so nice, I installed brand new genuine Toyota marker lights, all four corners, new headlights, the white side marker lights next to the headlights, and the front turn signal lenses that go in the front bumper. All genuine Toyota parts. The pictures do not do the truck justice. It is amazingly clean in person - the new lights/lenses/marker lights look fantastic! Interior is very clean as well, but shows some wear. The bench seat is torn on the edges, and the dash pad has some cracking, so I am including a very nice factory dark brown dash from a '82 model. However, to keep as original, I am leaving the tan dash in place. You can install the brown dash or have it vinyl-dyed to the original tan color if you wish. The windshield gasket was cracked so I also had a brand new genuine Toyota windshield gasket installed and replaced the windshield glass as well, because the installer didn't want to use the old windshield even though it was in good condition. The resulting brand new windshield and gasket, along with the new lenses and lights and glossy factory paint make this truck shine! I also replaced the aging radio antenna with a brand new genuine Toyota antenna - minor detail, but looks correct, and looks great! Factory wheels were also detailed. The original paint on the wheels is super nice! New aftermarket chrome lug nuts. BFG tires are P235/75R15 M + S rating. Truck received undercoating when new. I have not detailed the undercarriage, but its condition is acceptable in my opinion. The original Dunlop Snow Cruiser H78-15 is unused and in place on the underside of the bed. Original jack and spare tire tools are inside the cab. I included the 24 pictures that ebay allows, plus I linked 64 pictures within this description to show the truck's condition. They are only original once, and this truck is a true survivor having been treated quite nicely its entire life... and it shows. Please check my feedback and bid with confidence.
