Vehicle Detail

Offered for your consideration is a 1965 VW Beetle. I purchased this vehicle in July 2009 to tow behind our motor home. We sold the motor home and now have no need for the bug. The person I bought it from did a so called restoration of the body. He installed 4 new fenders, replaced passenger side floor pan, new gas tank, new fuel pump, starter and master cylinder, new running boards, new front (interior) door panels, new front and rear bumpers along with misc. trim and rubber products. The roof, front and rear deck lids all have dents that were not repaired, he just painted over them. The paint job has a few runs but overall it’s very presentable. He installed front seats from a 1972 bug and both the front and rear seats are damage free. I installed a rebuilt engine right after I bought it and it now has 2926 miles. At that time a new clutch, pressure plate and through-out bearing were replaced. Other things that I’ve done include: rebuilt carb, new battery, new voltage regulator and generator (still has 6V system), replaced king and link pins and bushings. I have never driven it in the winter, the previous owner removed all the heating system parts. It has the original radio but I never hooked it up so I don’t know if it works. I have a tow hitch and tow lights along with some misc. parts that go with the sale. This is a neat looking bug that always draws lots of attention. It runs and drives really great. I don’t know of anything that needs immediate attention. The odometer shows 38320 but I doubt that it is correct. It is in very good condition, has very little rust and would be a great vehicle to restore or drive as is. Nadaguides.com has a 1965 VW Beetle 2 door sedan valued at a low retail of $4325. This bug is far from being a low retail vehicle but due to its age (49 years) it is being sold as is. If you have any questions or would like additional pictures please call or email.
