1939 Chrysler Royal, six. The car has been repainted and is very presentable. There are 4 new wide whitewall tires. Although the headliner is new, the seat and door panels are original and show the usual wear. Runs very well and strong, will cruise easily at 60 mph. Excellent brakes and emergency brake. New carburetor, new fuel pump, new thermostat. The heater works well. Although it has a radio, it is non-functional (it does hum). New plugs and plug wires. The car shifts easily. This is a very solid old Chrysler that is very comfortable to drive; it handles very well. I purchased the car from the widow of the owner in New York State. The VIN number was assigned by the State of New York, as NY did not issue titles prior to 1973. I did obtain a Bill of Sale which I used to get an Indiana Title in my name from our BMV. This model Chrysler is distinctive in style, as it does not really resemble the 1938 or 1940 model years.
