Vehicle Detail

For sale is beautiful restored MG TD. I purchased it from the family of a local oral surgeon who passed away six years ago. He drove it rarely in parades etc. The prior owner did the major restoration with painstaking attention to detail. The wood underneath the car is in perfect condition and is painted white. The frame is gloss black. The floors are new and stained with cherry. The horns and alternator are gloss black. I removed the bias tires and replaced with 4 radials. The seats are in perfect condition and match the red grill. It has a beautiful wood dash. It has been updated with turn signals using a TF or MGA switch. It has been fitted with chrome air cleaners and a customized curved bar going to the passenger's side of the radiator. The car starts from cold easily with the choke. The oil pressure is 65. The ammeter moves to the right. The windshield wipers work but are slow. The tachometer reads low and the speedometer is intermittent. Both probably need to be sent away for cleaning/reconditioning. The transmission shifts without noises. Black top with clear window and tonneau cover. The SU fuel pump is several years old. I have installed a secondary low pressure electronic pump near the tank that can be turned on by a toggle switch under the dash if needed. The paint is shiny without dings or dents. There is some crinkling around the gas tank filler from exposure to gasoline. Matching number 11457 on engine block and body. The twin SU carburetors were just rebuilt by British Automotive Specialists in Peoria, IL with complete kits including jets and needles from Joe Curto in NYC. The car comes with two manuals and the book "MG T series in Detail" by Paddy Willmer.
