Vehicle Detail
Up for bid is my 1948 CJ2A Willys Jeep. We have had it for 6+ years and have had it on Colorado's most challenging trails every year. This Jeep is ready to hit the mountains! The following items were replaced during the rebuild around 4 years ago. Front and rear drive shafts and U-joints, brake pads, wheel cylinders, master cylinder, brake hoses, radiator rebuilt, wiring harness, gas tank, shocks, leaf springs, exhaust, and fuel pump. The electrical system has been converted to 12 volts and power steering added (makes trail driving a breeze). Body was completly removed and all rust cut out and replaced with new metal then reinstalled using new hardware and rubber bushings. Rear seats added- seat belts for 4. The origional engine and transmission were rebuilt about 3 years ago. Roll bar, swing out tire rack and receiver hitches on front and back bumpers added. It has a removable winchwith receiver mount that can be used in front or back as needed. It comes with a red canvas top, and a metal (aluminum) top with doors. The medal top is a Montgomery Ward kit and is about as old as the jeep -fantastic condition.. The 5 military style tires on the Jeep are about 4 yrs old and should last a long, long time! Lots of spare parts included. Mostly new parts still in the box. 3 extra tires and rims included along with 2 tow bars and a snow plow mount (no snow plow*). We bought this Jeep so family and friends could go jeeping with us. We no longer have a need for this 2nd Jeep. It's in wonderful condition and always gets a 'thumbs up' on the trails. If you have any questions, please call or e-mail me: Kevin 316-253-9972, or kjrair@aol.com. Note: For those looking for an "origional" Willys, the high back rear seats, roll cage, and etc., can easily be removed. It is a 1948 with a few upgrades for safety, comfort and dependability! GOOD LUCK! *If you want the snow plow, it's an extra $500.00.
