FOR SALE 1957 DESOTO FIRESWEEP SPORTSMAN!!! 2 DOOR HARD-TOP !!!RARE BARN FIND!!! You are bidding on a rare ’57 DeSoto out of the Blanchfield Collection. This vehicle needs a cosmetic restoration. This is the first time this old girl has been out of the barn in 43 years. It is hard to find these rare pieces of history still in such nice condition. The car is very solid excluding the rocker panels and lower quarter panels behind the rear tires. The floor boards only have one bad spot and it’s directly under the driver side dash board. This would be an easy restoration and very worthwhile as these cars will sell for between $80,000 and $120,000 when finished to high standards. This is a great running car with factory A/C and everything is intact from what we can see. The engine runs flawlessly with its 361 cu. in. V-8. The push button 3-speed automatic shifts as it should. The exhaust is rock solid even after sitting for 43 years. This car should go to a DeSoto collector who can appreciate its rarity and style.
