Up for your consideration is a really nice original 1987 Honda XR 250R. This is a 5 day auction. New parts list (with some usage): -sprockets and chain -front brakes (caliper rebuilt as well) -air filter-front and rear tires (about 95%)-chain and sprockets This is probably the cleanest original 87 Honda XR 250R that you will ever see. It has a 6 speed transmission. About the only major things that have been replaced (other than normal things like tires, chain, sprockets, tuneup, etc.) is the tail light and the hand guards. Pretty much everything else is original. The original exhaust has been repainted with high temp paint and is in perfect condition. No rust or rot whatsoever. Headlight and tail light work. Decompression lever works. Bike starts up in 2 or 3 kicks and runs perfect. It has lots of power, does not smoke, and does not use any oil. It shifts through all the gears perfectly. The past number of years the engine has only seen Amsoil synthetic. The fenders have some scratches and scrapes, as does the gas tank. The seat has a few minor scrapes, nothing major, hard to see in the pics. The fork boots have some cracks in them. Original tool bag is good shape, the original owners manual is still in there and comes with it. The original sticker on one side of the gas tank is bubbling. The other side peeled off some time ago. I will include a new set for both sides of the tank. As you can see from the paint and the sides of the engine, there isn't much wear on the bike. It has been well taken care of its whole life and always garaged. If you know these old Hondas then you know with proper care it will run forever. Actual mileage is unknown. It did not come with the factory speedo/odometer. About the only negative thing I can say about it is that it does not idle perfectly. Other than that this is a super bike and it is turn key. It needs nothing but gas. The reserve is very low, so happy bidding! Bike is tagged through 2015 for MN state trails.Bike is sold As/Is. No warranty. No title. Bill of sale will be included.
