Vehicle Detail
This bike has hade about 40 years of storage mixed with 4 years of riding. It does run smooth, good engine/transmission. Neither the engine or transmission leak oil. However, it has been about 3 years since I have ridden it last and the tank and carbs will need to be cleaned/rebuilt to get it going again. I put new tires and tubes on it 2 years ago. Other parts that will come with this bike include: carb rebuild kits (two)fork sealsClymer repair manualclutch, front brake and throttle cables, but these are for a 15" bar and are longer than the ones currently on it.throttle body assemblymiscellaneous parts shown in pictures. This has been a fun bike, but I'm now working on a Jeep and need the garage space. I am the third owner of this bike. It had a little over 3,000 miles on it when I bought it, now it has 11,000. I bought it from a friend about 15 years ago who had it in her garage for about 15 years. She got it from her dad when he passed away. She couldn't find any paperwork on it, so I had to get a title by bond and I do have a current clean title on hand. However, in the titling process, the appraiser marked it as a 1972 - even though the VIN plate says 10/1970, so the title says 1972. I have done a lot of work on this bike over the years, mostly cleaning the fuel system, lubing the chain, etc., and can answer just about anything you want to know about it. Like I said above, if you simply want to ride it, all it needs right now is to clean the fuel system and a new battery. If you want to "restore" it, it needs a lot of little things - seat cover, cables, paint, new rubber grommets here and there, etc. **Local pick-up only. If you live reasonably close to Pueblo, CO, I could make arrangements to meet you somewhere for the cost of gas. (I get 20mpg in my van). FYI, it fits quite easily in the back of a minivan with the seats down.On Sep-03-14 at 11:08:46 PDT, seller added the following information: ***CLARIFICATION: There was a question regarding what is meant by clear title and whether the title is transferable. It is a Colorado title in my name. By clear, I mean there are no leins, etc. The reason it is a title by bond is because it hadn't been registered for many years and no records of prior registration could be found. The title is fully transferable/reassignable just like any other title. I simply fill out the info on the back and sign it. The only difference between this and any other title is how the title was obtained (ie - by bond, rather than new car sale, etc.). I talked to a lady at DMV this morning and she confirmed that.
