Up for your consideration is a 1979 Suzuki PE 175 2 stroke. It is currently NOT RUNNING. No spark. I'm 95% sure the stator has failed. When I bought it, it ran good, but needed a carb kit. I scrounged up all the parts I needed for the carb and rebuilt it. Ran even better, but then one day the stator failed. I have not done a wiring test on the stator. I did replace the ignition coil with a known good (used) one, and that did not take care of the problem. So it is NOT the ignition coil. The brakes are excellent, chain and sprockets are good, exhaust is good (no rust or rot). The shocks will need to be replaced, the springs are good. The previous owner claimed to have rebuilt the motor (no receipts); I believe him, but I have no proof of a rebuild. Headlight and tail light work, and also has a working trip odometer. Tires are BRAND NEW (I did not ride it much). Bike has oversized footpegs, aftermarket handlebars (with guards), factory skidplate. Seat has been recovered at some point in its life. Plastics are faded and scratched, but in tact. Overall the bike is in good shape for its age. I have too many projects, so I'm letting this one go. It will be an excellent running bike again for someone who wants to spend the $60 on a new stator and take the time to fix it. Bike is sold As/Is. No warranty. No title.
