Vehicle Detail
I bought this car in Ft Lauderdale in 1986 with 44000 miles. I had it on the road for only 5 years before I encountered health problems. It was always garage kept then I put it inside storage in 1999. I was able to start it up twice a year until 3 years ago and has not been started since 2011. This is a project car -- the body is solid but the undercarriage has accumulated rust and the drivers side brake shoes rusted to the drum. A few weeks ago I was there and penetrating oil was squirted in the area of the brake drum. Since the car is located a distance from where I live I have not gone back to see the results. You will need a car trailer with a wench to haul this away. I know there was no rust through the floor pans and trunk 3 years ago. The beautiful thing about this car is the body has no rust through and the buyer won't need to mess with replacing panels. The windshield has a short hairline crack and the front bumper is bent. The interior is musty after sitting so long. I will accept only 2 forms of payment -- Wire transfer via bank to bank or cash -- Cash payment must be made at my bank in Croswell before p/u of the car and at that time the title and keys will be handed over.... then proceed to Bad Axe where the car is located. If you bid and bail a non payment strike will be against you The car is priced according to the current market and what has sold in the last 60 days. Addendum: I have been selling things of one nature or another since I was 10 years old and I could always count on the dreamers, tire kickers and the person that wants something for nothing and of course the inevitable... the ones who make an appt to see what I'm selling and don't show up. If I wanted to go through that hassle I would have put an ad in the Auto Trader. For all the above reasons the car will not be shown. Please realize this is an online auction. Read description carefully, ask questions.. I will respond. Thanks for looking.
