Vehicle Detail

Up for Auction is a 1937 Chevrolet Coupe I purchased (4) years ago that was previously stored inside a shop for more than (30 +) years where the previous owner did nothing to the car but store it in the back of his shop where it collected dust. Please see all photos for a good idea of the overall condition. According to the previous owner, someone removed the original doors, both wiper towers, instrument gauge housing, trunk lid mechanism, glove box door & liner, dome light, hood center strip, grille, engine & transmission, but did install the tan doors prior to him acquiring it. In looking over the car, I bet the original doors were perfect as well as the rest of the removed parts considering the overall original condition of the car today. The running boards & brackets were also missing. I purchased new smooth steel running boards & new heavy duty running board brackets, new reproduction glass tail light lenses & chrome bezels - all installed on car now. I have a '37 Grille & Upper Stainless Grille Trim that I will include with the car. The grille is rough & the stainless trim piece needs to be straightened & polished to look like new. I also found a '37 gauge cluster (rough shape) as well as the twin Town & Country Horns with bracket & glove box door - all included. See photos of the extra parts that are included. The original body is in good shape with the only rusted through area being inside the trunk tool tray area & the right rear quarter panel. I believe the floor is in good solid condition & the original felt insulator pad is still attached to the floor. There is no evidence of any rust through on the entire floor from looking underneath the car, rockers too are solid. There is light surface rust & dried mud stuck to the bottom. The right door is rusted through near the bottom & will require some patch work as well as the bottom of the door - new patch panels are available from suppliers. The driver's side door is in much better shape. The trunk lid has a large dent across the bottom, but closes good & isn't rusted out on the lower lip. The weather strip channel is also in great condition surrounding the trunk opening. The headliner is mostly intact as well as the rear shelf area material. The original seat is mostly good & includes all of the side panels & lower trim pieces usually missing. The trunk has the original side cardboard panels & plywood floor pieces - not too many out there that still have these pieces still in the car. There are also (2) flywheels ???? sitting on the lower trunk floor that are going to stay there for the new owner. All of the fenders (original to the car) have small dents, but DO NOT APPEAR to be rusty. Some of the fenders have been welded in the past, but all are good to be repaired & used again. The rain gutters & drip edges are very good with no rust. The hood tops & sides are very nice. There is a small dent on the top right side, but is small. The factory body tags are still attached to the car. Note: This vehicle will be sold with a Notarized Bill of Sale & is Sold in "AS - IS" Condition. Please see all photos & feel free to ask any questions you may have. All Shipping arrangements & associated costs will be the buyers responsibility. The car rolls & steers - all tires will hold air for several days except one on the front. It will hold long enough to load onto a trailer. PAYMENT: Winning buyer agrees to make an initial $500 deposit payment through PayPal within 24 hours of the auction ending & the balance either cash upon pick up of vehicle or bank wire transfer to my bank account. Winning buyer is to contact seller within 24 hours after auction ends. Once paid for, I can store the vehicle for (2 to 3) weeks if necessary.
