This bike was set up to compete in the US Classic Racing Association period 1 500 and open classes and is ready to fuel up and win. Lots done to it: - frame welded and braced to eliminate the classic rubber feel of the stock one. Rear swingarm replaced with a 2"shorter GT380 swingarm. - NJB shocks rear, RaceTech emulators front. The chassis and suspension have been proven a good working setup for many years. The engine and brakes have been recently reworked: - Front GT750 brake has been rebuilt with spherical bearings in place of the clevises, new bushings, 1 race weekend on shoes relined with the latest race compound linings from the UK, new Barnet cables - Stainless spoked alloy rims front and rear, with a spare stock rear. Worn set of Dunlop KR124 tires on bike now along with a brand new pair - one mounted on the alloy rear and the other ready to go. - authentic TR500 tank and seat. - Near new Scitsu tach and Powerdynamo magneto ignition -Motor has 2 races on crank rebuilt by GCM with All NOS rods, seals, and main bearings, fresh pistons in Sundial ported barrels, milled heads, exhausting through Swarbrick pipes. It needs nothing but race gas and a good rider to run at the front of the P1 pack, or would make a scary fun vintage track day bike. Selling to finance a smaller race bike that my kid can ride as well as me. No, it's probably a bad idea to make it street legal. It is bump start only, and the magneto ignition doesn't support any kind of charging. But if you want you can, it comes with a bill of sale only. Local pickup highly preferred.
