Vehicle Detail
Thank you for looking at my clean 1974 Pontiac Grand Prix. This is a two-owner car. It was purchased new 40 years ago and when it reached 38,000 miles it was sold to a family friend who put on another 25,000 miles over a 10 year period. My understanding is that this car has always been garage-kept and used sparingly for special occasions and short trips. It was not an everyday driver because with the miles on it (certified as actual) it was only driven approximately 1,500 miles per year. This car has been driven regularly throughout its 40-year life. It was never sitting for long periods of time. If you're the lucky winner of this car, it's been serviced regularly with many new parts (like it should have been) and it is ready to be driven home. If you would like to have the car shipped rather than driving it home it would only be an option. The car starts up in the morning easily, shifts well, brakes well, and steers well exactly the way you would expect it to run. If you would like to stop and check it for yourself, feel free to give me a call at 216-210-8488. The interior of this classic car is 100% original. When you sit in the seats, the cushions are firm, the same as they were when they were new. There are no cracks in the dash or in any of the windows. The carpet is still in near-perfect condition. This car also has tilt wheel. I took plenty of pictures of the interior that will give you a better idea of the clean shape it's really in. The engine is a 400 V8 and it has no lack of power. It also has a dual-exhaust which adds a lot of excitement when driving the car. The car has had one repaint. The vinyl top is original, and the underneath of the car is extremely solid for being 40 years old. The trunk is near perfect and the motor/motor compartment is extra clean for the year. The interior of this car the original working radio and nothing has been changed or molested on any part of this car. I also would like to talk about some things that need to be fixed. The air conditioning compressor is frozen. We didn't replace it because it's possible that the new owner may like to rebuild the original compressor or clutch. The four-way flashers work, but the turn signals do not. It could just be a bad bulb, but I'm not sure. Both the driver's and passenger doors are peeling on the bottoms. Again, I'd like to mention that the car does run very well, and all options do work with the exception of what I mentioned in the paragraph above. I would like payment by either CASH OR WIRE TRANSFER ONLY, within 48 hours. I do not use Paypal, checks, or credit cards. I also ask that the winner of the car calls in the morning to complete this transaction. I would like the car picked up within 7 days because I don't want to be responsible for the car and I could really use the room. This car will be locked up and kept safe in a garage. I will not pay for shipping, but I will assist your shipper in pickup. If I don't hear from the winning bidder within 24 hours after the auction is over, I will offer the runner-up bidder a second chance to buy the car through a Second Chance Offer. If you can't personally make it out to see the car before bidding, please consider sending out a local mechanic to check out the car for you and give you a complete inspection. I'm selling this car as-is. This is a no-reserve auction, which means that when the auction is over, the last highest bidder wins my classic car. If you have any questions about this car feel free to call Lou at 216-210-8488. Thank you for reading all of the information about my car, and good luck to all bidders. Enjoy the auction. On Aug-19-14 at 07:01:12 PDT, seller added the following information: CLICK HERE TO VIEW OVER 100 MORE PICTURES OF THIS CLASSIC CAR!
