Vehicle Detail
So, Here's the story... I bought this car off of a friend back in the late 80's. It was a daily driver car and he and I spent many a mile tooling around town in it. I bought it from him with the intention of restoring it to its once factory stock self. In 1990 I drove her into a warehouse and started my restoration. About a year into it I stopped. And that's the end of the story. The car sat in that warehouse all these years on jack stands gathering dust. It's time to start the story once again. Someone is needed to resume the restoration. And that someone might be you! You want details? When I started restoring this car it ran perfectly, AC and all. I removed the engine and transmition and thuraly cleaned and detailed both. No, I didn't pull the heads. The inside of the enging compartment was also cleaned and detailed. I also rebuilt the carburetor. Once the engine and transmition were reinstalled I completly rebuilt the front suspention. New ball joints both up and down as well as all new tie rod ends were installed. Brake rotors were never changed, and they need to be. Also the brake line (metal) was removed and needs to be replaced. The calipers are on but no pads are installed. Front windshield was damaged during removal, so no front windshield. Rear window glass is in trunk along with numerous parts. Original seats were removed and I installed new carpeting. Note: original seats are resting comfortably through rear window opening (the warehouse is a bit small). Drivers seat has a tear but passenger seat is fine. The car originally had a vinyl top. I removed it and filled in the trim holes. I have two dash pads for the car (not shown). A few years ago I entered the warehouse and found coolant all over the ground. Radiator rot. I removed radiator (you will need new one) and ac condenser. All the above stuff that is listed as "new" is 1990 new. This is quite the project! Garage kept for the last quarter century. All original when it was pulled in. No rust or body damage. All the parts are there, they just need some TLC and elbow grease!
