This is old school German High Performance. The good, It starts right up,no knocks or ticks. It shifts smooth and clean and the engine is a powerhouse. Tires around 75%. This car will do 140 mph and still get 20 miles to the gallon. A joy to drive. I bought it to restore it but I just don't have the time and it's a sin to leave it sitting in my garage. I drove it daily for 2 years and it has been garaged since. The bad. The interior is rough. The dash is cracked and the seats are in rough shape. The sun roof motor works but will not retract. The track needs to be cleaned and lubricated. The previous owner stuck what appears to be roofing ice sheet over it to keep out leaks I guess. That needs to be taken off with a heat gun and razor scraper. The drivers window works. The passenger window motor works but the window needs to be put back on the track. The back windows do not work. It's probably just the buttons need to be replaced. Paint is rough on the roof and it could use a full paint job. There are 2 small rust spots at the back of the two rear wheel wells. It needs a water pump,around $130 for the part after market.The AC needs a recharge. The radio does not work. It will need some TLC on the electrical. It breaks my heart to let it go but it deserves to go to someone that can restore it. They made less than 2000 of these and I was told there are less than 1000 left. It also qualifies for antique insurance and plates.
