Vehicle Detail

1953 International Harvester R112, 53k original miles, Nebraska barn find, amazing condition! Straight 6 cylinder, 4 speed, this truck is completely original, minimal rust, straight body. Drives straight down the road, strong; the alternator, starter, and carburetor have been rebuilt. Tires are in fair condition, interior in good condition, bench seat in amazing condition. The exterior has acquired a beautiful patina. Leave it as is, drive as a classic or great platform for a hot rod. Videos below may not play on mobile devices. On Aug-10-14 at 21:20:41 PDT, seller added the following information: Thanks for the questions so far, I found this truck in Nebraska, it was purchased there in Lincoln new and was kept on a farm until the original owner passed, it went to the next soybean farm over after that and has had only three owners. It really is in amazing condition for its age and I wouldn't sell except we are knee deep In a remodel and I'm going to keep the peace here at home. There are a few small whiskey dents in the body but it is very straight overall. The straight 6 cyl engines in these trucks coupled w the 4 spd are just bullet proof and this one has such low miles anyway I couldn't pass it up. It has an aftermarket mirror on it and horn that sounds like a train is coming. The only thing that seems to be erratic is the temp gauge, I've had other Ih and this always seem to be the case, it doesn't feel hot to the touch after running,no fluid leakage and no other signs of running hot but I'm going to look at the thermostat and see if it's sticking. Somebody or something over the years removed the hood ornament and side R-112 international emblems. If anybody out there finds one in nicer condition throw yourself onto the hood and don't let go. These trucks are very hard to find especially the split rear window. I will get some more pics/ video up as soon as possible. Don't miss out on this iconic piece of American history..... Especially one w only 53k on the clock Thanks PaulOn Aug-14-14 at 17:24:22 PDT, seller added the following information: 1953 International Harvester R-112 3/4 ton I went to the local salvage yard today and found two international emblems a front emblem and two i.h factory mirrors they were on a 52 couldn't believe my good luck ! also changed out the thermostat just for an update, the one question about if the dash lights work or not, Yes they do, this is such a great truck to drive around in, people are always giving us the thumbs up and waves. thanks to all for the positive emails, someone is going to get an awesome I.H. if there are any questions or pics needed pls let me knowthanks ,Paul
