Very fun 1949 Chevy 5 window short bed truck converted to 4 wheel drive. Everyone in the family can drive as it has a turbo 400 auto transmission, straight 6 engine (1982 block number 366855), Dana 30 front axle, Dane 44 rear, Spicer 18 transfer case. Runs great at highway speeds. Power steering, power brakes, new gauges, 12 volt. Truck is great driver as is and not a show truck, but definitely draws a lot of thumbs up when driving around. New paint job that in my mind not done the best (few runs) but great from 6 feet away. Nice dry Nevada truck and no major rust, just loight surface rust underneath. Older tires with good tread. Needs wood bed as original is under plywood and is splitting bad. Plywood is in it to protect sides, and haul stuff as this is made to drive. Original seat upholstery which has one crack. In order to make this a show truck a little work needs to be done to clean up welds on front axle area, back axle mounts are original, new paint, and replace any trim pieces you want as new, as they are original. I acquired the truck a while back from an older gentleman that was in process of restoring when he was hurt in a construction accident. So he put the quick paint job on it. I replaced the gauges (all work), put new carpet, had transfer case, transmission, and transmission to transfer case adapter gone through to insure all is good and seal leaks (done professionally by shop).
