Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my Allison Dune Buggy built on a 1965 Convertible VW shortened Chassis. Thousands have been spent over the last two years of my ownership alone to bring this classic buggy to its current excellent mechanical condition. The engine is a 1778 Scat Stroker with a Rancho Transmission. Work since my ownership includes New front end with adjustable lift New Steering Box New Brakes New Brake Lines New Shocks New Front Tires New Empi Dual Carbs New Buggy Carpet kit New front Sway Bar New Front Bumper Bar New Tow Bar. (included) All work professionally done! All the Mechanicals have been gone through and you can drive this vehicle all day without worry. However, it does drive like a dune buggy. FAST and RAW! If you are not familiar with the Allison Dune Buggy, Google it! Allison Dune Buggys are thicker and arguably the best looking of all Dune Buggys. If you search Bill and Val Blue Moon Dune, you can see the build, and will probably fine the listing where I purchased the vehicle. Just know that whatever mechanically was not right to my standards, was fixed regardless of expense. This one just took more than I expected. LUCKY YOU!!!!!!!! Bottom line is this buggy is a classic and has that old school patina and just looks so cool with the Cragars rims, color combination, and sound. This is not a modern built buggy so the gel coat is not perfect with some fade/imperfections, but shows well. There are not cuts or major damage repairs on the fiberglass. The past owner touched up and sprayed candy blue on the front. I personally love the way this classic buggy looks and wouldn't do anything to the interior or exterior. Up to you, but if you want the classic look, here it is at price where everyone else absorbed the major expenses. There is some pitting on the chrome shroud on the motor and the Cragars, but everything shows well. My family and I were able to enjoy our Dune buggy this summer, and now with plans to redo our home, it needs a new owner still in time to enjoy summer and fall! The buggy is turn key ready now. Please feel free to email and questions, or to make an appointment as I highly recommend you see it in person. I will be bringing it to the Wyckoff Cruise night this Wednesday, weather permitting, and as it will be listed locally, I reserve the right to cancel the auction. Currently registered and inspected for street use in New Jersey. Sold as is
