Vehicle Detail
My 1969 Mustang Fastback was purchased in Central MS in 2005. Car was completely media blasted all over for complete restoration, body was in great shape since it was a central MS car. I built this car to enjoy as a Boss clone with the Mach 1 interior. The dash clock has an authentic Carol Shelby signature that is protected in a clear coat. The car has new weld in sub frame connector, both front and back floor pans with new seat riser replaced, they weren't real bad just wanted a solid feel under my butt and feet. Professional paint job, nothing spared during prep or paint job. Many hours of prep time to get a clear smooth finish. The drive train was rebuilt just before I purchased the car in MS, the builder is a professional circle track engine and transmission builder. The carb is a Holly street avenger 870. I have only put maybe 2000 miles on the car, it is only driven locally in about a 30 mile radius to car shows. The car has new Shaker hood with a new shaker, all new interior, drive train completely rebuilt. New 15" wheels and tires. The headlights look like the original headlights but instead they are a HID very bright great looking head light for safe night driving, but they look like the original. The Head unit for the sound system is a 250 Watt sound system that looks like ab original type stereo for the era with Pioneer speakers that can handle the power The front speakers mount in a special made kick panel to hold the speakers. The rear speakers sit in a special made fiberglass holder finished with matching black vinyl material to match the seats, the speakers are raised a few inches with a baseball stitch finishing the custom look. I use a cassette that allows you to plug in an iPod. Engine is a 351 Windsor that performs flawlessly matched with a special built C-4 transmission, the car will bark when shifting into second and third. New 1" sway control and steering components, new disc brakes in front with 1" Shelby drop for added performance in handling. New carpet in interior and trunk is also carpeted. Very powerful and great driving car, starts and runs flawlessly. I purchased this car in 2005, I enjoyed the car for a few years before starting the restoration. The restoration lasted over 2 year, within this time I was able to decide exactly what I wanted to build. I was also able to complete research and purchase the best original materials for the rebuild. Many of the new parts are original ford licensed parts or quality Scott Drake parts if original not available. The car has won several trophies at car shows. Lots of fun showing her off, I've actually had people follow me and pull me over to ask me about the car. Really a fun experience every time you get this pony out of the paddock. Boss C stripe is Black, the stripe is the original Ford Licensed Boss stripe that is Black. The flash of the camera makes the reflective stripe look white in the pictures. This is a great feature at night, lots of head turning when the stripe pops when the headlights shine on stripe. Also a new fuel tank, was installed with new fuel level gauge in tank. There are a lot of new everything, to many to list. Dual Magna Flow exhaust installed for that not so loud when idling but can awake the neighbors when tromping on the pedal. I never drove this car like I stole it, I did on the rare occasion mash the pedal to get that special feeling that makes the hair on your neck stand up The only minor details I know of that needs fixed is; I took the speedometer gear out of the transmission due to the speedometer started jumping around, I'm assuming that it needs a new cable, I didn't replace because the speedometer wasn't accurate due to larger wheels and tires, I use a GPS for speedometer when driving for better accuracy. The driver door and passenger door windows needs to be adjusted, they don't roll up and down as smoothly as they should. This is an original AC car, the AC compressor is there and I know it wouldn't take much to have cold ac, It was never important for me to pursue. I like the windows down to hear the engine. I recently noticed the fuel gauge doesn't work, not sure why, haven;t had time to look into the problem. This is all of the areas that need a little attention that I can think of. I have several pictures of the restoration, if you want a picture of part of the car I didn't list let me know and I will e-mail it to you. The reason I'm selling her is due to I'm looking into different interests, I'm in search for an old Bronco first generation to fix up and unfortunately I can't have them both. This sale is as is with no warranty implied. I reserve the right to stop the sale on e-bay, due to it is also for sale locally..On Aug-13-14 at 19:25:00 PDT, seller added the following information: On Aug-15-14 at 11:48:33 PDT, seller added the following information: I added pictures and video that I took today of the mustang. Quality isn't the best, my camera has a scratch on the lens and the video quality is low, not sure why. That is the car running you here and I literally turned the key and it starts right up in one of the videos, sorry again for the poor video quality. I wanted to make sure to have recent pictures for your viewing. Let me know if anyone wants a picture or explanation on anything. Good luck bidding and thanks for looking.
