A real unmolested 1964 Dodge Polara 500 Convertible with all original drive train and only 52,093 original miles. The motor is a big block 318 , which I was told was made for only three years? I drove the car 40 miles to get her home. Shifts , handles and runs great. Even drove home by putting the power top down. Now is it a show car , no. The restoration on this car was probably done 20 years ago with extensive use of mud and tin in the rear quarters. Other than the rear quarters and some rust in the trunk pan the rest of the car is amazingly straight and solid. Even the glove box and console still lock. And guess what, even the original owners manual was in the glove box. It needs restoration, one of the top bows needs a little welding, needs exhaust work , needs new top and rear window , but the interior is in very good condition and there is not one crack in the dashboard. Cars like this rare find do not come along very often. Sure. But as I said there are areas that need attention. In the pictures as you can see there is some rust under the hood with the front fenders and as I said the restoration that looks to have been done about 20 years ago was not done to todays standards. I would guess work was also done on the floors which will also need to be addressed. I do not want someone to be pissed off when they pick her up. This car is complete, runs,drives , stops, and is very straight. And last time I checked was not available at the local Dodge Dealer.
