Up for bid is a 1967 Camaro Coupe restoration project. This is an original Los Angeles-built California car, originally a V8 and factory 4-speed. The paint code is "MM" which is Royal Plum, a fairly rare color.The 396 and 400 trans are not original to the car. The engine and transmission are a 396/402 ci engine and a th400 transmission out of a 72 Chevy truck. They were a running and driving set when they came out of the truck and would be an excellent platform for a rebuild. The rear end is a 10-bolt, unsure of the gear ratio or if original to the car. Unsure if this is an "SS" or not. The main floor very nice, the trunk floor will need a small patch. The four speed hole is unaltered as from the factory. Definitely above average. The body does have the typical rust spots, with the worst being the right quarter, in back of the wheel. Some rust also extends into the rear sail panels and above the drip rails. The SS hood is rough. The trunk lid is rusty. The top of the dash at the base of the windshield has rust across it. In a nutshell, the body has the typical issues inherent with these cars, but is very restorable. Please study the photos. As stated, this is a project car requiring complete restoration. Please contact me with any specific questions. The front and rear seats and door panels are included along with an extra pair of front fenders(OEM), and other small miscellaneous parts. Actual mileage unknown. I am not interested in any trades. This vehicle is sold as a non-running/driving PROJECT CAR, sold AS-IS, WITH ALL FAULTS. There is no warranty or guarantee on anything. The car is located in San Diego, Ca. I have a clear Illinois title. The car IS AN ORIGINAL CALIFORNIA CAR, I am in the Navy and registered it in Illinois. A $500.00, non-refundable paypal deposit will be required within 72 hours following the auction ending. The remaining balance will be due in the form of cash at time of pickup. The buyer is responsible for all shipment arrangements, I will assist in loading if necessary. Vehicle will not leave its current location until all funds are received. I can store the car for up to 30 days free, as this should be more than enough time to make arrangements if need be.
