Vehicle Detail
1987 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser Wagon. I purchased the car in January of 2012 from the original owner with a little under 69,000 miles. It has 70,340 original miles on it. It runs and drives very well. Transmission shifts smoothly. Exhaust was replaced by previous owner just before I purchased. I hardly ever drive it, and due to unforseen life changes, I have decided to let her go to a new owner. The body is rust free except for a small spot on the window frame of the rear passenger door. ( quarter size). Very minor spots below the rear window. Paint is faded somewhat on the top and on the hood. The undercarriage is sturdy. All floor boards are solid. There is a small ding on the rear passenger quarter panel where a door hit it. The interior is near perfect. I had a new headliner installed. The only flaw is there a small rip on the fold down armrest in the front. All door panels are like new. Carpet is very nice. It is fully loaded with tilt wheel, cruise control, power seats, power door locks, power windows, 3rd row rear facing seat, power rear window, etc. All work as they should. The air conditioner has not worked since I purchased and I have never looked into why. May just need a charge. I recently tuned it up with new distributor cap, rotor, plugs and wires along with all filters and oil change. The tires look great and are leak free, but I was told at inspection that they are at least 15 years old. The one thing that it really needs is to have the valve cover gaskets replaced. If it is driven regularly, it is not an issue, but if you let it sit for a few months, the oil seeps out onto the manifolds and it smokes for a few minutes till it burns off. I purchased a new set of Edelbrock Chrome valve covers but never got around to installing and will include them with the car.The only other issue is that the fiberglass filler panel between the rear bumper and the car is cracked and brittle. Please look at pics.It is completely original and has never been wrecked or had any body work done to it. Overall, this is an excellent condition car that with a little time and money could be a real cruiser. Bidding begins at 1900.00 with NO RESERVE. That is considerably less than what I paid and what I have put in it, but I know longer have the time, money or will to complete. Title is free and clear. Please email with questions.
