This is a rare unrestored car. It is a two owner, California rust free, low mileage (52,500), original 1979 Triumph TR7 brooklands green car as it came from the factory. The like-new convertible top is the original Tickford supplied top from the factory. The car has no issues and runs and drives like a new car. This is a condition two car (most notable are three minor door dings in the passenger side door…see pictures); they have not been repaired to preserve the original condition and patina of the car; see Hagerty link http://www.hagerty.com/valuationtools/HVT/VehicleSearch/Report?vc=1331796 for valuation. Hagerty shows that the average selling price for a condition two 1979 TR7 of $7,800. Condition one cars sell above $12,000 (one sold on ebay about six months ago for over $16,000). This is not your average 36 year old TR7. For serious car collectors, the original nature of the car gives it a premium. The car is reasonably priced for what it is. The last auction ended at about $4,500 with 22 bidders.The car easily passes strict California smog tests.Shipping is at the buyer’s expense. I’ll be glad to assist with pickup on this end. The car has been serviced by master mechanic, Bill Barclay (760-598-6649) in Escondido, California.The steering wheel has been changed and wooden dash trim has been added. If the buyer desires, these can be removed and replaced with the original steering wheel and plastic dash pieces without the simulated wood accents. The tan tonneau cover in the pictures does not come with the car but is available from Robbins tops for about $300.
