Vehicle Detail
I purchased this Mustang 2 years ago to use as a donor car for building a Factory Five Shelby Cobra. Ended up spending the money on a wife initiated household project and was never able to get back to the Shelby project. Here is what I know about the car: 1. When I made the purchase it came with a Wisconsin title. Since then I converted the title to Illiniois and the title is clean, clear and in my name. 2. The manual transmission works well, no gear issues that I can detect and shifts smoothly from 1 through 5. Reverse is smooth as well with the clutch depressed all the way. if you leave the clutch a few inches out when shifting into reverse you may feel a slight grind. 3. When I purchased the car, I was told that the gas gauge worked in reverse. This is not the case, the gas gauge does not work and I did not trouble shoot to find the cause. 4. The power windows work well when connecting a DC power source directly to the motor. This leads me to believe the switch is either dirty or needs replacement but the motors are in working order. 5. Needs new tires. Right front has a very slow leak. 6. Missing back seat - Seat belts are iffy just like any 80's mustang, and hatchback lift supports need to be replaced. 7. Brakes work. 8. Body is in really good shape. Look closely at the pictures for any imperfections etc.... I took a lot of photos and a lot of close ups so you can see as much as possible. 9. I was told when I purchased the vehicle, that the motor was rebuilt 2000 miles ago. I cannot prove this nor do I have any paperwork showing it. I can say, that the motor runs great and was a big selling point of me purchasing the car for the FFR conversion. The photos should tell the rest of the story. This is a great car to tinker with and runs really well. Good luck and thanks for looking. On Jul-20-14 at 08:02:53 PDT, seller added the following information: DO NOT BID IF YOU HAVE ZERO FEEDBACK.
