Restoration Project Starting Price less than I have in the project This truck is a 1968 F250, 360 CID, 215 HP, 8.4:1 COMP. RATIO 8 foot bed, heavy duty suspension, Custom Cab, 2 wheel drive, C6 auto trans, power steering, power brakes, radio, no air, pull choke on 2 barrel carb. 100810 miles. This truck was purchased NEW in Atlanta on May 1, 1968 by my sister. I purchased it from her 7/14/87. At the time it had 81,532 miles. Due to age & health I cannot finish the restoration I started. Comes with 4 new tires, 2 on truck and 2 mounted on NEW rims to replace wide camper tires now on rear. The following items have been completed. Replace all 3 U Joints Replace Drag Link New Master Cylinder (Raybestos) Reline Front /Rear Brakes Replace all 4 wheel cylinders Drain & replace brake fluid Replace Ft Brake Hose Turn 4 Brake Drums Replace Front Grease Seals New Carburetor New Fuel Pump Gas Tank - Vat Dip De-Rust & clean Gas additive Replace gas line rubber hose, Gas tank to fuel pump Replace gas line rubber hose, fuel pump Replace gas line rubber flex hose on gas tank New Starter Points and condenser Transmission rebuilt Radiator, New (Aluminum) Anti Freeze, Prestone Water, Distilled (3 Gallons for radiator) Radiator Flush, Prestone, for Engine Block New heater hose New Radiator hose - Upper New Radiator hose - Lower Truck needs some minor body work and paint. There is no collision damage. Truck is solid & sound but it has several small areas of rust. Interior needs a deep cleaning but is in good shape. Upholstery is good. Dash has split vinyl. No broken glass. Doors open & close easily. Truck runs but needs an exhaust gasket (loud). The muffler & tailpipe look good but does need the exhaust pipe from the manifold to the muffler. The rust is mostly surface rust. Mostly at the bed side joint (where side panels are put together) just above the chrome strips and on the hood at the bend below the FORD letters. No rust in the floors, they are solid. Cab mounts, Good and solid Bottom of doors, 3' x 4" section in each exterior bottom corner both doors, bubbles and a very small rust hole (cannot put your finger in it). The bottom mirror mount screws on both doors have been pulled loose. The metal needs to be repaired before the screws can be reattached. This is a great foundation for a restoration waiting to be finished. Will throw in several used parts from a parts truck I bought for spare parts. NO TRADESNO FINANCING Contact me with any questions.
