This LOW MILEAGE 1998 Ford Ranger XLT 4X4 Extended Cab pickup has been donated to our non-profit organization, and we have not physically driven the vehicle ourselves. We understand that this truck runs and drives well, and has only 85,967 miles on it! The 6 cylinder engine runs well, and the 4 wheel drive shifts and works as it should. The truck has a custon Rhino bed liner, and custom liner cover! New brakes were installed in July 2012, and the exhaust, glass, and tires are in good condition. However, there appears to be a slow leak in the rear passenger side tire (easy fix). This Ranger XLT has power windows, AC, power locks, cruise control, AM/FM/CD, and two small rear seats with seat belts! This truck is in good condition in and out, however there is some rust on the body (see pics), and the front skidplate under the truck is loose and hanging down (easy fix, does not affect driveability... again, see pics). We also understand that there may be a bad connection to the interior domelight, as it does not always turn off the first time the door is closed. The tailgate also sometimes sticks (they all do), and occasionally when shifting from reverse to drive with the overdrive on, the truck will feel like it is in neutral. Shift the overdrive off, and it's fine. The truck runs fine when overdrive is on in drive as well. The truck also may need a new battery, although the owner believes that the battery is still good. The truck has not been used much lately, and has needed to be jump started recently. Perhaps just running it for a bit will charge the battery back up...
