Vehicle Detail
I have owned this motorcycle for about 10 years. I purchased it to use in several USCRA MotoGiro-USA Eastern events. These are two day events where small displacement motorcycles are run about 200 miles on back roads, usually up and down some pretty big hills. Both times this bike completed the event without issues (once getting 1st place in its class). I believe this to be a very clean original example of a somewhat rare model 125cc twin. I have replaced some parts with NOS or good used as needed. The bike runs smooth and quiet and all the lights work. Clutch feels a bit funny - may need adjustment or new plates/springs. This bike has a nice look as is, but painting the tank/fenders, installing the included seat cover and polishing the aluminum would make this look great. Painting the blue parts and some extra detailing would turn this into a show bike. New York State does not require or issue titles for vehicles this old. There was never a title for this vehicle. I will provide a transferable NYS registration and a bill of sale. Highlights 1 - NOS exhaust on both sides. At the time, this appeared to be the last set available in the US. They look great but do have minor shelf wear and I find the chrome as manufactured to look a bit thin. 2 - NOS side cover - the plastic (fiberglass?) one that has the ignition switch 3 - recent Cheng Shin tires 4 - various tune up parts replaced at one point along the way 5 - new 6v battery 6 - The chrome is in really good shape. rims look great and spokes look like they will clean up very nice. A couple of the turn signal stalks do show some minor rust. Lowlights 1 - as mentioned above, the clutch feel is a bit off, but it is certainly ride-able. 2 - tank is solid but needs a good cleaning inside and perhaps a coating inside to keep things nice 3 - repainting the silver parts (tank/fenders) would go a long way to making this a GREAT looking bike 4 - tank emblems are replacement type and not original 5 - these are not fast bikes. Hills will slow them down. 6 - The clear coat on much of the aluminum is faded. With elbow grease it would buff off and look great. Included but not installed 1 - What I believe are the original tires (Nitto I think) Might be good for a show 2 - Good replacement seat cover (The vendor from Canada on Ebay) 3 - NOS Blue headlamp shell, plus a nice silver one. The one on the bike has been "repaired" 4 - extra NOS light switch 5 - extra "rubber" airbox/aircleaner assembly. These are very hard to find. No cracks and fairly pliable. The original has a crack. 6 - Original plastic side cover with broken tab. I will not ship this bike, but can certainly be here to meet any shipper you arrange as long as I am paid in full.
