This was never owned by an auction house, dealer, flipper, etc. Please rest assure I am a private seller that is passing along a family gem. Up for sale is my 1978 MGB Convertible with only 21,940 miles. 4 speed manual transmission. This MGB has original wheels, interior, exterior, engine and factory paint. etc. The MGB was 100% of its life stored, and has been in a heated garage since about 1984. The vehicle has also never seen rain its entire life. The original owner was in California, the 2nd owners owned her since about 1985 until this year in which I was given the opportunity to own the car through family. Within the previous 4 months, the following have been replaced-Battery-Spark plugs and wires-Fresh oil change with fuel filter-Alternator (with lifetime warranty) Additionally, the MGB has had a professionally wash, buff and wax including the interior, exterior, and tires. The carpets were also shampooed. She really looks sharp and gets many compliments. Perfect for summer convertible cruising. A few cons of the MGB include..-Some minor cosmetic rips in cover (photo)-A few paint chips in the paint that are very faint and are not noticeable from more than a few feet away-One of the glass gauges in the dash is cracked (see photo)-The carpet behind the seats above the battery cover is not fastened down entirely, and is resting in place.-The center arm rest does not clip down, but still holds in place nicely. -The insulation under the hood, above the engine is partially off. A few positives that I should mention include..-Dual SU Carbs-The tires have a TON of tread left and all of the tires hold air pressure consistently.-The seat belts do fasten and retract.-The floor boards are very much intact and have no issues of rust or weakness.-All the gauges work properly.-The windows roll perfectly.-The trunk and gas cap function perfect.-This MGB includes the spare tire and jack/tools to repair a flat.-The brakes, cluth, transmission all work very well.-The engine has zero ticks or inconsistencies, runs great. The MGB has been in my personal name for about 3 months, It was given to me through family as they did not utilize the MGB enough to justify owning it any longer . So it has really only had 2 very committed owners its entire life. The 2nd owners mainly drove the MGB as their weekend vehicle during the summer months in Wisconsin which consists of about 4 months (which explains the low mileage). And stored the vehicle in their own personal attached heated garage). The vehicle title is clear (no liens, no salvage or rebuilt title). There are no cracks, zero frame issues, zero mechanical issues, etc. The MGB is in great condition and is primed and ready to drive. Whoever ends up with this baby, will be highly satisfied and be the new owner of one of the lowest ran '78 MGB's in the world.
