Vehicle Detail
For you consideration, I have a Russet Brown 79 TR-7 DCH with 2.0 liter and 5 speed manual transmission. I've owned this Triumph for a couple of years and haven't had any major mechanical issues. For a 70's British roadster that's been driven regularly it's surprisingly reliable and runs well. It received a full tuneup when purchased (belts, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, K&N air filter, carbs cleaned and balanced, thermostat, gear oil, hoses, etc.) and it easily passed smog. I've made several upgrades like new fuel pump, front brake lines, clutch slave cylinder rebuilt kit, random gaskets (carbs, exhaust. . .), and replaced the wax bulb-type choke with a manual cable choke. As for full disclosure, see condition notes. The vehicle is currently registered in California (CA) through July of this year. Tires are good, brakes are good, rotors are after-market drilled/slotted and stop very well, and odometer shows 20k miles but I'm guessing it's around 70-80k considering the speedometer shows ~70mph when in reality you're going ~50. This leads me to believe the trans/gearbox was replaced and/or the speedometer gear isn't the correct one. The body is solid. Gearbox shifts well and motor does NOT overheat. Car is also being sold locally on Craigslist - search for ad in Los Angeles for more photos. ***If you bid on the vehicle, you should plan on picking it. If you can't pick it up, please look into shipping before bidding. I'm willing to help coordinate pick-up in 90045.
