Hello. Have you been looking for a really nice little 4x4 F-150? If so, read on. After a lot of thought, I have decided to sell mine. It is a 1996 Ford F-150 XLT, long bed, regular cab 4x4 pickup truck with just over 92,000 miles. It is clean, has been overly well kept, and has not been abused by it's two senior owners. I love this truck very much. It, without fail, draws attention whenever I go. Someone is always making a very kind comment about it. It doesn't matter if it is at the gas station or waiting on a traffic light, it is always the same "heh man, nice truck" or "what year model is that truck, it sure is sharp!" It is over and over, it makes me feel good about owning it, actually. One fellow followed me all over town and stopped and asked if it was for sale, and at that time it wasn't, fact is, I don't want to sell it now, but it has become to small for my grandchild and his small motorcycle. We are always in it and it is just far too tight with all of us and his equipment. I have decided to purchase an extended cab pickup and this one is for sale as I cannot afford two trucks at my age. I purchased this truck from it's first owner a while back. It had been sitting in his garage, unused for the last 7 years. He would start it up, run it around the block a couple of times and then right back into the garage it went. He related to me that this truck has never, ever been driven on a salted or snow covered roadway in it's life and it certainly shows, because this truck is 100 % rust free, front to back, inside and out, and from it's top to it's bottom. The frame and all of it's suspension, fuel lines, brake lines, brackets, and bolts are rust/rot free. You will see, in the pictures that I have provided, a nice, clean frame. It is just now turning light brown from the weather and it will paint up nice to look like new, but I like things like this too be real and not covered up by undercoating, bad paint jobs from rattle cans and certainly not covered in 5 gallons of Armor all like some of the sellers that I have seen on here do. The truck has very nice paint on it. It is that pretty Pacific ocean green. The body is very nice, almost no dings and no dents that I could see. The belt mouldings have a few age spots coming in the chrome, but they still look nice. The inside of the bed is good. It has a nice Ford liner in there and it has a nice fiberglass cover with new shocks. The interior is just short of immaculate. The dash is perfect, the door panels are super nice, the carpet almost looks new as does the headliner. The seat looks like it is a just a year old and it sits up nice and firm. Everything works on the truck. It has cold a/c and it is loaded up for a '96 XLT. I just put on (4) 10x15 Wild country raised white letter on and off road tires. They have about 1,000 miles on them. It has new shocks all around. It further has a 1 and 1/2 inch lift kit all around, just to raise it up a bit because all of these F-150's need a bit of a nice stance, don't they :) It has an excellent heavy duty, E4OD automatic transmission in it that will pull anything that you put behind it with ease. The 4x4 system works like new. This truck is an absolute pleasure to drive and to own, but it is just too small for us now. This truck should make someone out here a very nice, desirable pickup if you have been wanting one. It runs and drives like new and it will flat fly out on the interstate. You can drive this thing coast to coast without a hitch. It will come with it's original paperwork to include it's owners manuals, window sticker and some records of things that I have bought for it. This truck although pretty darn nice, is not new by any means. It has been used, but not abused by anyone. It will have some small scratched here and there, maybe a small ding or two consistent with an 18 year old pickup truck. I just want everyone to be happy with their purchase and no surprises! I told them to clean it up, inside and out and I wanted it to have a deep buff and wax and that's what I got. I went down to see it this afternoon and I have to say it knocked my eyes out. We always kept it waxed as good as a couple of older folk's could do, but I wasn't prepared for this outcome, let me tell you. It came out super nice, really, really pretty. These pictures that I posted don't do this pickup justice in any fashion. I like a vehicle to honest, that is too say, what you're looking at is the real deal. I don't like gobs of undercoating or ugly spray paint, sprayed all over everything under a truck as I mentioned above. I do, like a clean, well kept truck and one that shines and this one gets it done. I think that you will be very well pleased.
