Up for your consideration is a 1970 Triumph Bonneville T120 "TT Special" Yes I know 1967 Was the last year of the TT Special, but this is how I feel the bike would be if the TT had continued. I started with a numbers matching 1970 T120 Bonneville added the alloy rear fender, TR6C triple clamps with steering damper, TT tach mount and single gauge, upper fork covers without headlamp mounts, real 1 3/4 TT pipes and the grey top seat. The engine was completely disassembled, sludge trap cleaned, reassembled with new .020 over pistons, all new gaskets and seals and a valve job. The primary cover, Trans cover and timing cover were polished as original. Carbs were sonically cleaned and rebuilt with real Amal parts kits. Boyer electronic ignition and black box that does away with the regulator rectifier and zener diode . The frame and other components ere powder coated gloss black. The wheels were rebuilt with new flanged alloy rims, stainless steel spokes, and correct 1970 hubs and brakes, shod with Dunlop DOT dirt track tires. The 1970 gas tank was repainted in 1966 colors, but in the 1970 scheme. The bike runs and rides nicely, but gets a little loud with the TT pipes, people can hear you coming. Pink slip in hand, but the bike is out of CA. DMV system .
