I have my 2000 Subaru Forester up for sale. Let me start with a brief history of the car. My mother bought this car brand new and had it serviced regularly by the dealer it was purchased from. She elected to buy a newer Subaru and sold this one to me three years ago. With a mechanical background I knew it was a sound car and purchase. I acquired the car with 159,00 miles on it and have been driving it as a daily driver until last week. The engine developed a loud knock and a huge lack of power. We just parked it where it broke down. The car will run but let me stress that it does need some serious engine repairs or an engine replacement. The tires are brand new only two weeks old with less than 600 miles on them. I babied the car and expected to get a lot more out of it or I wouldn't have put new tires on it. I hate to sell it but I decided to move on and I bought a newer Subaru. I will answer all questions to the best of my abilities as I know the complete history of the car. Again, please NOTE, THIS CAR NEEDS SERIOUS ENGINE REPAIR! Thanks for looking. Everything in the car works, power windows, cruise control, A/C etc. It also has a newer CD player with Polk speakers in the factory front door location and Kenwood speakers in the stock rear door location. As I mentioned earlier, I treated this car as if I was going to get another 100,000 miles out of it. So I took very good care of it.
