Vehicle Detail

This truck is a part of our family here in Los Angeles, California. It was lovingly restored prior to our ownership and we bought it in essentially the condition you see it here in the photos. Both us and the prior owner (who was the second owner) were focused on maintaining the OEM nature of the truck, both as to appearance and under the hood. It was restored to its original "farm truck" appearance, which is why there is no rear bumper (it's got a finished roll pan instead so the truck could be used with a baler). It looks the way these trucks looked when they came out of the local Ford dealer and headed to the farm. 1963 was the last year of the Unibody trucks - as you can see, this is where the bed and the cab are all one piece, straight from the factory. It gave these trucks a sleek, streamlined appearance and they have become collectible. There are not a lot of these left - try finding one in original appearance that hasn't been lowered, resto-modded, etc.! The motor on this truck is the original, as is the transmission. These are not powerful power trains - it is great for driving around town but this is not a revver and it's not set up for fast highway driving or anything like that. These were farm trucks and it has been kept that way. Interior and exterior condition is just lovely. All the glass is the original glass on this truck from the factory with the original markings. Great attention to detail has been expended here in the restoration. The one variance for functionality is the addition of the wood paneling in the truck bed - that was a concession to practicality so the truck can be used if need be (although the bed's present condition is flawless - it has never been used to move anything at all). The truck has also had a front disc-brake conversion so the stopping is pretty great. We have kept the truck in stellar mechanical condition - there always seems to be something that can be done to improve the running condition of these trucks. Here is a list of recent work done in just the past year or so and we are happy to include all receipts and records that we have, along with the original manuals: - Ignition switch replaced- Some electrical wiring and connections replaced- Carburetor conditioned and adjusted- Fuel hoses and two filters replaced- Fuel pump replaced- Clutch replaced with brand-new clutch and then adjusted after break-in period- Braking system went thru, new rear-wheel cylinders, new master cylinder gaskets, master cylinder rebuild- Front mounting bushings replaced- Driver rear axle bearing and seals replaced- Rear transmission seal replaced- Thermostat and gasket- Seatbelts installed (lap belts) We have had a lot of fun in this truck. It has never had a drop of rain on it and it has never spent a night outside. Tires are newish, as is the battery. It's ready to roll. Like all trucks of this vintage, they run better once they have had a chance to warm up, and I would probably want to have the carburetor completely rebuilt if I was going to keep the truck. We have done our best to describe the truck's mechanical condition here but I am not a car expert. Happy to answer any questions that you may have, and you're welcome to come by or send a representative to look at and/or inspect the truck prior to your bidding. There are not a lot of these trucks left and to get one in this condition is a rare find. We will assist however we can with the shipping process if you are not located in the Los Angeles area, but you will need to arrange all the logistics and the picking up of the truck at your expense. The truck is parked in our garage in West Los Angeles. Please do not bid without the good-faith intent & ability to promptly pay for the truck and its shipping. We require a $500 deposit upon the auction's closing, with the full purchase price within two (2) days via cash or wire transfer. We will also require the signature of our standard written seller's contract for an as-is sale. -
